One of the things I'm most excited about as a Fyreslayers player is the creeping inclusion of women in the Fyreslayers book. We still don't have any runedaughters or anything, which is disappointing, but the book acknowledges that because of the events going on, the female fyreslayers are starting to get out there and adventure a bit too. In fact, the Runefather of Hermdar named one of his daughters as his heir instead of a runeson. The book also mentions that some newly formed lodges are ruled over by fyrequeens instead of a runefather. The underworlds warband I desperately want is a band of 2 runesons and 2 runedaughters. Their inspire mechanic is that whenever a runedaughter kills something, a runeson flips and vice versa as they try to outdo each other to earn dad's approval. Alternatively, a warband of a runedaughter and some female retainers would be incredible. I think that likely the thing awakening under vostargi mont is probably the incarnate of Aqshy, but what I hope for is anything that might give Fyreslayers a cavalry option that isn't just runesons on magmadroth. I love runesons on magmadroths, I have 4, but man, I would like to be able to take some cavalry outside of them. It doesn't make any sense that as soon as a runeson gets on a magmadroth, his hearthguard body guards just wave goodbye to him and he's on his own. I want to be able to take hearthguard mounted on something. It doesn't need to be baby magmadroths, but like, some sort of more numerous but smaller lizard creature.
As a Fyreslayers player I am really stoked about this, thanks for covering something I completely missed in the battletome! I like how this influences order vs order games on the table, as it's a narrative you can use for a Fyreslayers vs Sylvaneth game. My own lodge is using strange green ur gold in their forging, TOTALLY not corrupted by warpstone from the Pyre Wars.... But I could definitely use the lore from this video for starting a new lodge that's created following the collapse of their home because of the rite of life. I think you're on it about the incarnate of aqshy too, at least it seems the most logical reason.
I see Fyreslayers I click like! I am painting these guys, and I love their lore. The hunt for all the Ur Gold and wouldn't know what happens when they finish their mission is interesting, we can't tell if Grimnir is good or bad, but hey, a mystery it is.
This makes me miss the Fire Kobold Goblin Clan/Tribe. They had a breath attack that you could use in the shooting phase or as a retaliation attack vs charging units. Every goblin in the front row basically shot a Yoga Flame template wounded on a 4+ ap1 and could set the enemy unit on fire if a model died from this attack on a 5+ suffering d6 hits str 3 for a turn. Epic fun.
I do think it is an incarnate of Aqshy that is going to erupt and fight just like its magical nature does. (it was also one of the two incarante elementals that got a model in the old stuff, the other one being ghur)
This was really great as while I don't play Fyreslayers I do play Cities of Sigmar based in Aqshy. And one of the big geographic features for my custom nation is a giant volcano that is also an Aelementor like Avalenor. So what does the Rite of Life do to a sentient volcano? I don't know but I think it must be torturous. Makes me need that new Lumineth Battletome.

Magmadroths apparently mature in like a month. A better mount for a Fyreslayer cav unit would be volcano Goats.

You got it!
A video about what new models you’d want for Fyreslayers would be cool

Always nice to hear some more Duardin lore.

I’d love to see the rite of life in the realm of death because I assume that realm was hit too.

The Avatar of Grimnir
That’s already a thing. His name is Gotrek Gurnisson!
@@riokollivier I was thinking an avatar of Khaine type thing but ya you’re right about that.
I am a Fyreslayer. Hello 🔥
Have them surf on small living mounds of lava for mounts
I approve of this idea XD
Alarielle has never done anything wrong ever.
Yes I play Sylvaneth, why?
Lava god
