America is very rich but what is supposed to be the richest city on earth does not reflect its appearance anymore. The buildings are old and there's no new construction going on. Seems like that's the appearance we'll see for decades to come. Asian cities on the other hand, particularly in Southeast asia are competing to be the most modern cities in the world. In the Philippines, your business won't survive if your place doesn't upgrade to look new and modern. Old malls are being demolished and rebuilt so it can compete with the newer ones. 😊

I prefer preserving the old buildings like in London than destroying everything and building ugly mew buildings. The old brownstone townhouses in NYC are beautiful.
