How about if the floating body is not a boat, but a dock and we place a permanent weight on the edge of one side, so there is tilt - but at a new equilibrium. How do you calculate different ways to "straighten" the dock back so its level again? (obviously without removing the permanent weight)
is this the same for when a boat is being out out by a levering arm? How are then the dynamics of the water taken into account during the deployment of the overhang item?

please do not say "could tip over" if you are talking about tipping points then do it right. there is a point of tipping, if you surpass it you tip. its simple
