What I love about Han Joon-gi is the fact he was always fighting Kiryu fairly without resorting to his bodyguards for help, he even asked them to back down just to fight Kiryu one on one, one of the most respectable bosses in this game.
Honestly he's just obsessed with his self image, he's a violent psycopath, and wants nothing more than to beat kiryu down to restore the jingweon. It's even shown how during his last stand in his 3rd fight he starts using illegal boxing moves and fighting dirty with crotch blows, eye pokes, elbow strokes.
@@KmiloO13me I know I'm talking about boxing specifically, joon-gi puts up a facade of an honorable and valiant warrior but he's really a man obsessed with his image who wants nothing more than revenge.
"Hey Akiyama, y'know how I promised that when I took Haruto that I'd do everything possible to keep him safe? Yeah, we are _literally_ playing rugby with him right now, with him as the ball, and that is the _safest_ option on the table for him right now. I kinda see your point from before, I'm not doing a good job, I'm sorry I kicked your ass over this earlier."
What's cool is that it's from your own deduction too. When the mob comes in, the game didn't tell you who they are, but you can see them having Korean names, so they're most likely the Jingweon. Joon-gi didn't even say anything except telling the men to back off so he can have a 1v1 with Kiryu, and that's when everything clicks in.
Thank God Haruka was in a coma in middle of this, and thank God Yumi was Dead in this game. they both Would have an Actual Deadly HEART ATTACK seeing their Son/Grandson being used like a basketball
What makes it even better is that the game is taking this scene completely seriously. It's treating a bunch of Japanese gangsters tossing a baby around like it's the Super Bowl like it's the most important goddamn thing on the planet, and I honestly love that.
Anyone notice Kiryu didn't bother taking his shirt off this time? When he takes it off, he's indulging your belief you're giving him a boss battle. When he keeps it on? He has no time or patience for your shit.
3:24 Has to be one of my favourite of the new heat actions, just the slow motion shot of their head going back and the spray of blood is just fucking glorious.
I'll admit, this 2nd "Korean Vergil" fight you played was better than the first. You went all out and fittingly ended it with Dragon Fury punches and K.Oed him in a funny position...
Gameboynitro 9 it’s not necessarily a cliche, it’s true some babies love being thrown in the air to be caught back into the wielder, sometimes it’s natural occurrence
From Korean Vergil, Kiryu turned him into an unfinished pretzel. 4:56 Part of me wished that you can pull off some Hokuto ga Gotoku juggle shit whenever the opponent is sent at that height.
So I gotta ask man; has your opinion of 6 improved since witnessing the translation? I know Scott and his team did a fantastic job from what I’ve seen.
With the way Joon-gi Han was mostly silent throughout his interaction with Kiryu as opposed to his prior and next boss fight, I can easily believe that this is the body double (the Joon-gi Han in Yakuza 7) who then switches back with the real one at the shipyard, which led to the real Joon-gi Han's death.
When you have to fight the legendary Dragon of Dojima at 6 but be on time for a Korean boyband audition at 7.
At least you know the fight will be quick, because the Dragon of Dojima does not fuck around!
Especially at 7
leesdeeds 1 I see what you did there
But after 7 you have to dress in blue at 8 and change your name to vergil

"WHAT..... AND YOU DIDN'T INVITE ME?!"
You know shits getting serious when Joon-gi Han’s dramatic intro title goes from Owner of Club Stardust to Leader of the Jingweon Mafia
What's cool is that it's from your own deduction too. When the mob comes in, the game didn't tell you who they are, but you can see them having Korean names, so they're most likely the Jingweon. @@lyonvensaReally cool way to look at it. The titles are what the player character perceives them as is a GREAT headcanon.
@@EDDYSUNSHINEv2 I mostly agree but that doesn't work with Kiryu's boss title in 7. Ichiban had no idea who he was but the title says it.

The way his theme cuts out when he gets defeated cracks me up and I don't know why.
It's almost like it's saying: "Well you tried [Han Joon-Gi], but it's time to wrap this up." in a "you messed up" manner.
The way he ended up adds to this
I love how Han nods towards his minions for them to leave before fighting, it’s as if he’s taking off his coat man it’s great
The way it synchs up with music makes it look like a start of a dance number.
Definitely on of my favorite antagonist in the series. He's civil yet crazy.
That may be the most unintentionally funny scenes I’ve ever seen.
