Good day, Tom. "Lincoln" is my favorite book by him. It's the one book that got me interested in American history. He is the reason my shelves are filled with Washington, Jefferson, Burr, Hamilton Madison, and at least 10 Lincoln biographies and his complete collected writings. Vidal made me aware not only of Lincoln's brilliant writing, but his keen legal mind, political animal, and deep humanity. I met Vidal in 2006 and had him sign his Lincoln book.
