She's the most insane drummer I've ever seen! I'm an old professional drummer. I'm just .. What's happening !! I can't stop looking at her. She is incredibly talented.
2 years and about 10 relevant Japanese bands and solo artists later, Japan became the center of global Metal evolution and Metal relevance. Lovebites, Nemophila, Hanabie and Hagane took over. And that is only the tip of the iceberg.
What I haven't seen mentioned yet is that this song came out in '81, so this is an early 80's rock vibe. Drummers were flexing these skills back then, and somewhere along the line it was lost. Mad props to DragonForce, Junna, and Yoyoka for bringing these skills back into the spotlight! They're all awesome!
Hey Jarvis, another great reaction to the wondrous Junna. Just an FYI...in most of the covers that she does, if you look closely, she is also singing the song that she is doing the cover too. Keep up the great job.
always lovely to see junna in action :) i would also love to see you react to yoyoka's drum covers of killing in the name and bulls on parade by rage against the machine.
You noted the swag with her cymbal spin in her Fire and Flames cover... You owe it to yourself to check out her Rising Force cover! th-cam.com/video/0Y37gImgpIE/w-d-xo.html I counted at least three cymbal spins in the first 41 seconds. That level of swag is just the beginning, she totally owns this song with her drum cover! 😉
I won't give away the flex she does at the end of the chorus... that's best left for you to discover for yourself. (I predict your jaw dropping, a pause, and you saying "what in the actual hell?!?). 🤣
What most people don't realize is that Iron Maiden never played double base. Just one peddle. The drummer at the time was Clive Barker. He left the band do to having MS.
Junna doesn't play drums. She does make them suffer. Talk about "Hitting them like a girl". And that smile at the end, it's beautiful enough to melt the south pole ice cap.
maybe im the only one but no commentary has pointed out she never breaks a stick , never ! that is amazing ! her notes are spot on. back in the day to test a good drummer you would have them play Innagoddaveta . a classic. id like to hear her play the drum solo to that.
So happy and fulfilled while beating the sh....ampoo out of her drumset! 😁 A drummer at last who *smiles* while giving it all. 😁 Like Nicko McBrain (Iron maiden), Haruna (LOVEBITES) and Murata Tamu (Nemophila). 😁🥁
I was wondering if you might check out Yoyoka's cover of virtual insanity, rainbows kill the king or burn by deep purple " Ian Paice " maybe perhaps you might have a chance to go there, Thank you
I dont know if you have heard them, but this is a band from Japan called Band Maid. Here is a link to their song Freedom, I think you will enjoy it. th-cam.com/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/w-d-xo.html
If you haven't seen it yet... PLEASE, please, PLEASE react to Junna's cover of Yngwe Malmsteen Rising Force! Honestly, I think it's better than her cover of Through the Fire and Flames! You won't be disappointed! 😉 th-cam.com/video/0Y37gImgpIE/w-d-xo.html
I see a comment already to react to Sina, not as young as Juna but very good. th-cam.com/users/sinadrumming She covers mostly Classic Rock but will do about anything. She has a video which she composed a drum track to add to the last 9 minutes of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, which does not have drums th-cam.com/video/bSawCO3tipc/w-d-xo.html, if I did the math correct she was 18, I think she is 22 now.
You should see a Japanese girl band called Nemophila. This band's history is young and they don't have many original songs, but they're great. If you're a drummer, check out this cover of X Japan's song 紅(Kurenai). Please watch the high-speed drum like a machine gun. th-cam.com/video/Bd3Ss30FZjg/w-d-xo.html The original song DISSENSION is great though. I've also done covers of Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, KISS, etc., and some of them surpass the original. Fans of the originals may be offended, though. There are a lot of great female bands in Japan. Of course, there are also many great female drummers.
She cheats slightly, because she's playing iron maiden with a double base pedal, which neither Clive Burr nor Nicky MacBrain does. Nicky even said that he finds double base drums pedals to be "undrummerish" but other than that very talented
Holy smokes, that was a joy to watch, she's super talented! You're super positive and it's great to come here and just vibe after a long day of work. I don't know if you've heard of Unleash the Archers, but I'd love to see your reaction to their song Awakening if you haven't heard it.
My Main Question. Where is she now? Think someone took her away for themselves or what? She's Chinese right? I feel it's weird that a woman with this much talent just disappears. No recent uploads or media coverage!? Pray she's OK and not in some idiots holding cell. Just saying.

I'm pretty damn sure Clive would approve (RIP).
Oh yes, he definitely would. Great comment, honouring that _legend_ .
Hey Jarvis, another great reaction to the wondrous Junna. Just an FYI...in most of the covers that she does, if you look closely, she is also singing the song that she is doing the cover too. Keep up the great job.

Looking through your channel, I don't think you have reacted to Senri Kawaguchi. She is an absolutely superb young fusion drummer.
I dont know if you have heard them, but this is a band from Japan called Band Maid. Here is a link to their song Freedom, I think you will enjoy it. th-cam.com/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/w-d-xo.html

Slight spoiler... I love the right hand, over her shoulder cymbal hit while looking in the opposite direction... mad flex on her part! 😎
I see a comment already to react to Sina, not as young as Juna but very good. th-cam.com/users/sinadrumming

Sounds off though due to double. McBrain uses single pedal. She takes the Gallup out of the style. She is amazing.
You should see a Japanese girl band called Nemophila.

My Main Question.
Where is she now?
Think someone took her away for themselves or what?
She's Chinese right?
I feel it's weird that a woman with this much talent just disappears.
No recent uploads or media coverage!?
Pray she's OK and not in some idiots holding cell.
Just saying.
