Simple Mulch & Watering Test

Filmed 29Sep2024. I had some watering issues this year with the garden and had wood chips down as mulch for the first time. So I performed a simple watering test to get an idea of water and how much was getting through to the soil.
I learned when I did water or even a light rain, the chips were absorbing most of the water and I was not applying enough water during my watering.
When things go wrong, that is when the fun begins. Perform test, investigate things and do your best to find the most likely cause(s) to improve for the future.
