I had ggOS/ReviOS/AtlasOS/Xtreme Gamer'sv2/Ghost Spectre(21H1/21H2) before I found your builds!! They all had some frustrating bugs,extremely stripped with errors,superb latency and FPS in games at the cost of extra troubleshooting and optimizations like a black hole!! All this amateur builds are not even close to yours *Profi builds!! The 19H2-Vanadium was my favorite,...but this 22H2-v5.10, Conquers the World!! Usain Bolt is jealous 😁❤
I’m blown away by how lean and mean these windows 10 and 11 builds. Windows 10 only uses 8gb of space and windows 11 uses 13. Windows 10 ram usage is about 1.1 and windows 11 is about 2.1. These use virtually 0% cpu usage, hard drive usage, and squeaky quite WiFi usage at idle. And 50-60 processes with kaspersky installed. These are the best builds out there James! When I get some more money available I’ll toss you some coffee. And if I get some free time I’ll do an in-depth benchmarking. I use your win10 v4 build on my potato Chromebook dual core/4gbs ram/32gb hd and she runs beautifully. And use your win11 v2 build on my main gaming computer. No hiccups or bugs at all. Fast fast fast! Thank you James! ❤

Going to test many synthetic and in games. Not sure ETA but in progress on a Alienware aurora 14 ryzen edition live machine and my potato dell 3100 Chromebook. The Chromebook will be limited but I’ll see what tests I can run lol.
@@WindowsX-LiteAlready not looking great out of the gate for your competitors. GS 11 was ok, no bugs initially found. GS 10 won’t install Microsoft store without having to use your store tool and a cmd and when updated with his tool it reinstalls edge. I used christitus tool to remove it. Tried keeping all variables relatively the same. Tiny11 23h2 won’t fully update has a kb package that won’t install. Your windows 10v4 and windows11 v2 builds were flawless no bugs 👍❤️
Har testat dom flesta utgåvorna här och denna version Win 10 v4 fungerar 100% på en HP Stream 4GB Hdd 64GB. Detta är den bästa för denna dator. Testat Win 11, men inte lika pigg. Tack för alla versioner du lägger upp. 😇

Hi! Just installed 5.10b on very old computer, everything works fine, expect one thing - Windows didn't recognize DVD, and I have only hard disk (C:). DVD is OK, because - I can see it in BIOS and can boot from it. So problem with Windows... I know, its almost useless in 2023, but anyway, please fix it in next release. I will try to found registry fix. Update: I found registry fix and its work: Step 1. Copy-paste this location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi in the Registry editor navigation pane. Step 2. Select the "atapi" folder, right-click on the folder, and select "New," followed by "Key." Create a new folder in Registry editor Step 3. Name the folder "Controller0." Step 4. Now on the right window, right-click and then select "New," followed by "DWORD (32-bit) Value." Create a new DWORD file Step 5. Give it the name "EnumDevice1." Step 6. Right-click on "EnumDevice1" and select "Modify." Step 7. In the Value data box, type "1" and click on "OK." Step 8. Restart your PC.

I have been following the FBconan build since the TeamOS days. Unlike other lite builds, your build with the Gojo Satarou install screen allowed me to run games like Hogwarts Legacy without any issues. It's great that there are no bugs or glitches. The first song is amazing. I couldn't find it with Shazam, so links to the song would be appreciated. Thank you for your hard work.

hey James quick question for you, but have you thought about about using a "playbook" like AtlasOs. I don't know if that would be easier or harder for you. Seems like a better route to go instead of chancing using MS isos. Just a thought i had, i love what your doing! btw i do like x-lite way better than atlasos, they disable and remove way too much and it always causes issue Sooner than later!
Hiya Cody. I'm not currently interested. The way I create a build is very specific, and I feel trying to conform to someone else's methods or software, would be extremely limiting, and probably result in subpar performance and experience compared to what I'm currently able to do. I try to provide a very personalized experience, and am pretty satisfied with the experience I can provide using my current methods. - Happy to hear you enjoy my work Cody!
I have a suggestion, the OS is great overall, but these are my suggestion; Can you bring back the prompt where we can change the Lock Screen? Every time I change it, every restart, it will delete the photo and use the X-Lite splash again. Second, is the UAC, once enabled it works but doesn't make any notifications, do I have to enable it on UAC settings itself or something? Third, let us create our own account, I know it's great to skip the OOBE, but I don't like being named as "Administrator" every time I set up a new device or reset it, just remove the unnecessary and leave the language, layout, and name setup intact. This one is my personal request, not a suggestion - can you bring back or teach me how to bring back the game bar notification? I know it's weird and people hate it, but I love that notification, it basically notifies me if the game I launched is recognized as a video game or emulator in Xbox App and Windows itself.

I can't seem to find any fix, nor any place else to ask, so I'll just ask it here. I just installed Windows X-Lite 'Optimum 10' v6, but I can't "personalize" my PC; which oddly includes changing the audio device. I replaced a Linux Mint installation, so would that cause this issue? Is there anything I could do to fix this? I'll try reinstalling it in the meantime while I wait for a reply
Windows needs to be 'activated' to unlock all of the personalization options. You can do this with a license, or if you have a laptop it could already have a HWID license in place, which will automatically activate Windows when you connect to the internet - as long as you install the same edition of Windows your laptop came with (most likely Home Edition)

Could you kindly please suggest me on which version of Windows, either 10 or 11, you would recommend for optimal performance in terms of user interface responsiveness and processing speed? I've been using CPUZ, and it gives a benchmark score of 1575 on your 22h2 (22621.1992) Windows 11 Home build, which is the highest I've achieved thus far
You've been with me on this journey since the beginning, thanks for coming along for the ride! - The 22621.1992 Home Build you are currently using, is one of my top W11 picks, and one I use on my own PC's. That OS Build should run a bit lighter than the latest 23H2 releases, as 23H2 has added many new changes that may feel a bit sluggish compared to the slightly older 22H2 releases. As for W10, I'd give Optimum 10 v4 a try as a start.

It will likely be lighter and more responsive than a stock build of Windows 10 on your PC. Trying it is the only real way to decide if you like it though :)
There are adjustments made to the balanced plan already to optimize performance, but you are of course more than welcome to add the high performance plan, or any other plan you would like to try John!

Honestly some people find W10 performs better on older hardware like yours, but I get similar performance on my hardware, old and new on Windows 10 and 11.

This version is very good. I like this stock windows theme more. Thank you for this version. Is there any major difference between 4.10 and 4.11 other than the latest build? I dont want to change from 4.10. Also, all the windows 10 versions which I installed, all of them needed force shut down to complete installation, is this windows 10 issue or my hardware?
@@WindowsX-Lite I once waited for more than 30 minutes, but then force shut down was the only solution. Also I noticed that internet explorer is not working in this build but it is there in the start menu.
Can you tell me the difference between classic Version And v 6 That's now been archived Against Optimum10Pro v4 I don't really see a difference between them and also it would be nice to find a change log somewhere
Classic is the successor to v6, it's based off a newer OS Build, and includes improvements. Classic uses Stock W10 look throughout. Pro adopts a modern look by integrating W11 UI elements (icons, themes, etc.) throughout, other than that it's the same as Classic. So the difference is only in the looks.
I do have a question though, how do I stop running every installer as admin? In the regular windows I had to "run as administrator" to install as admin but in this build it runs automatically. Usually it's a good thing but when I try to install VS code it installs as admin and it wouldn't update as it's a system software now
I'm trying one of your builds for the first time. I installed Optimum 10 v6 and am getting errors when trying to turn on updates. I started the update service ok but the error I get in settings is "Error encountered. We couldn't connect to the update service." It also shows no entries in update history. The next problem is I can't install the Windows Store. Turned on UAC and tried your installer in the Program Data installers you supplied but the error is "App installer failed to install package dependencies." The installer also says it requires a Microsoft account which I want avoid. I think these two things are related but am unable to figure out how. Also I tried the command "wsreset -i" as suggested from another source with no luck. BTW I installed v6 without Windows Defender if that makes any difference.

Hello. I was wondering if there was a way to solve the screen tearing that happens only in this OS and another one that I tried called NexusLite OS (I used other OS not so light like WinterOS in which there was no screen tearing at all and I don't know how to solve it)
You can enable automatic updates, or download cumulative update packs manually from our website to keep the OS running lighter and bloat free. You can also update Defender updates whenever you like via Windows Security.

MS keeps making new changes to their W10 updates, that are stopping cumulative updates from installing after a while in our older W10 releases, so this one's rebuilt from from the ground up using new methods, to address those issues.

You should make a similar version for windows 11 Pro. The Optimum 10 V.4 is probably the fastest and best I've used.

I can't seem to find any fix, nor any place else to ask, so I'll just ask it here.
I just installed Windows X-Lite 'Optimum 10' v6, but I can't "personalize" my PC; which oddly includes changing the audio device. I replaced a Linux Mint installation, so would that cause this issue? Is there anything I could do to fix this? I'll try reinstalling it in the meantime while I wait for a reply
Windows needs to be 'activated' to unlock all of the personalization options. You can do this with a license, or if you have a laptop it could already have a HWID license in place, which will automatically activate Windows when you connect to the internet - as long as you install the same edition of Windows your laptop came with (most likely Home Edition)

Easy fix. Right click the desktop - restart explorer - restart explorer now :)

You've been with me on this journey since the beginning, thanks for coming along for the ride! - The 22621.1992 Home Build you are currently using, is one of my top W11 picks, and one I use on my own PC's. That OS Build should run a bit lighter than the latest 23H2 releases, as 23H2 has added many new changes that may feel a bit sluggish compared to the slightly older 22H2 releases. As for W10, I'd give Optimum 10 v4 a try as a start.

It will likely be lighter and more responsive than a stock build of Windows 10 on your PC. Trying it is the only real way to decide if you like it though :)

Great iso, thanks! However, why is 'high performance' missing from the power plans? I use audio a lot and I usually prefer to select high performance.
There are adjustments made to the balanced plan already to optimize performance, but you are of course more than welcome to add the high performance plan, or any other plan you would like to try John!

Yes, you'll need to install all your hardware drivers, or let Windows do it for you.
I have Celeron N2920 with 4 gigs of RAM and 64 eMMC storage (only 31 gb free),Windows 8.1.
Would Optimum work more fluid on this setup?
All our builds are designed to run as light and responsive as possible, so there's a good chance it would help.

Clean install to any partition of your choice, dual boot is supported :)

Comes with standard WLAN adapter drivers, clean install is required (write to USB with rufus) and boot from USB.

Honestly some people find W10 performs better on older hardware like yours, but I get similar performance on my hardware, old and new on Windows 10 and 11.
It's really up to you to test both, and decide for yourself which you prefer.

It depends on your personal use, but for me personally, I get the best blend of performance and support using our 'Vanadium' Release.
This version is very good. I like this stock windows theme more. Thank you for this version.
Is there any major difference between 4.10 and 4.11 other than the latest build?
I dont want to change from 4.10.
Also, all the windows 10 versions which I installed, all of them needed force shut down to complete installation, is this windows 10 issue or my hardware?
During installation, just be patient and wait. Force shutdown is not needed. Initial Boot takes a few minutes, or longer depending on your hardware :)
@@WindowsX-Lite I once waited for more than 30 minutes, but then force shut down was the only solution.
Also I noticed that internet explorer is not working in this build but it is there in the start menu.
It works for me, albeit IE doesn't support many websites these days. Best to use another browser.

This 10' v4 version can preview word files, version 10' v3.11 cannot preview it.
Can you tell me the difference between classic Version And v 6 That's now been archived Against Optimum10Pro v4 I don't really see a difference between them and also it would be nice to find a change log somewhere
Classic is the successor to v6, it's based off a newer OS Build, and includes improvements. Classic uses Stock W10 look throughout.
Pro adopts a modern look by integrating W11 UI elements (icons, themes, etc.) throughout, other than that it's the same as Classic. So the difference is only in the looks.

I do have a question though, how do I stop running every installer as admin? In the regular windows I had to "run as administrator" to install as admin but in this build it runs automatically. Usually it's a good thing but when I try to install VS code it installs as admin and it wouldn't update as it's a system software now
Could try enabling UAC, there's a reg file to do it in the extras - fix Xbox sign in folder.

I'm trying one of your builds for the first time. I installed Optimum 10 v6 and am getting errors when trying to turn on updates. I started the update service ok but the error I get in settings is "Error encountered. We couldn't connect to the update service." It also shows no entries in update history.
The next problem is I can't install the Windows Store. Turned on UAC and tried your installer in the Program Data installers you supplied but the error is "App installer failed to install package dependencies." The installer also says it requires a Microsoft account which I want avoid.
I think these two things are related but am unable to figure out how.
Also I tried the command "wsreset -i" as suggested from another source with no luck.
BTW I installed v6 without Windows Defender if that makes any difference.
You have enabled something that is blocking windows servers. some kind of privacy settings you have made are blocking them, or firewall settings.

You are correct. I had checked something in O&O Shutup that must have disabled something. Just reset that app to default settings and Update/MS Store worked.

I didn't give it a password when it asked me, I rebooted and now it's not impossible to log in because it got stuck in a loop. When you press log in you go back to the lock screen and can't do anything. what should I do?
I never set a password, in any of my releases. You can try leaving the password field blank, and see what happens.
Hi, when i install the windows(Optimum 12 23h2 pro) I see the windows is activated but when I try to install my drivers, Windows gets de-activated, I tried installing multiple times but still the same
Our builds are not pre-activated, that's up to you :)

I was wondering if there was a way to solve the screen tearing that happens only in this OS and another one that I tried called NexusLite OS (I used other OS not so light like WinterOS in which there was no screen tearing at all and I don't know how to solve it)
Screen Tearing hasn't been present since Optimum 10 v1 - In my tests, and use at least. Hope you can fix it on your end!

You'll most likely just need to install the drivers for your Bluetooth adapter.

You can enable automatic updates, or download cumulative update packs manually from our website to keep the OS running lighter and bloat free. You can also update Defender updates whenever you like via Windows Security.

Whats different from v3.11 in terms of performance and or compatibility
MS keeps making new changes to their W10 updates, that are stopping cumulative updates from installing after a while in our older W10 releases, so this one's rebuilt from from the ground up using new methods, to address those issues.
