Look there are ways and means for NAT’s but trespassing, soiling , littering and being anti social is never going to work for them. No one has the right to just rock up in someone’s field and make it their home etc. I am all for them wishing to live their lives that way but not when it impacts on others. The NAT of today have much to learn from the hippy ideal of the 60’s

Live your life and let them live theirs. Oh..you can have a go at me..I am 71..and don't care a shit what anyone says. As a traveller once there was a mass of hippocritical ideas on show.. Mostly talk was always of another way of society, how it could work different to the existing... And many who didn't want anything to do with society...however many were claiming benefits... If accidents happened they were straight off down to hospital.. Same with doctors.. So despite claiming autonomy from society they were actually working on fringes exploiting.. This contradictory aspect helped me in my decision to finally return to houses once the 94 cj bill took effect making it near impossible to live the life anymore and many fled to Europe.

@Sharks Hi I have no idea what I wrote before. But yes, we should be able to move freely and live a life as we please, providing that we don't hurt others. The mess playing out is a result of 'unspiritual intellect,' and the quest for ultimate truth is the only answer. But it is so hard to make the journey, when it seems like barriers are constantly getting in the way, of getting basic needs met. Catch 22!!🙏

What you are saying is pure idealism, but not grounded with any actual reality or truth. If I decide to come build a shack in your backgarden and live how I choose, without regard to your rights, would that be okay? The countryside is not 'free space', it is worked land that provides the living for a multitude of people as well as of course the food we all need. Animals living in forests need the quiet nights, away from human occupation to live their lives. It is pure selfishness or a lack of critical thinking skills to suggest nonsense like this.

Went to the parties early 90’s and loved them, have friends that are still travelers and always feel jealous that they have the guts to cast themselves free. There are many sub cultures that run along side mainstream society. The upper class and their lifestyle are one such sub-culture. They can party and break laws with the best of them, only difference is their funds and friends will protect them from prosecution. Don’t get worked up, just accept we’re all different and have a hug. X

the latest round of anti traveller laws are particulary heavy but their not targeting new age travellers anymore its the proper gypsies their targeting and the organised crime element to that entire thing it was obvious aftetr they finished with new age travellers the proper gypsy community was next in the cross hairs of been targetted you should have a read of the police and sentencing bill 2022/23 they made a big thing about right to protest and the entire smokescreen with that but i read it and that was nothing it was lightweight compared to some of the far more nastier laws in there and whats going on with the courts on top of that i thought that was the sinhgle most shocking bill ive ever read it was a tough and hard read but i read it all and the right to protest was lightewoght really but whats in there about the travellers is a very heavy one and the blank make it up as you go along enabler law the public naisince laws so now just for the fact your been annoying ya can get arrested for it and can get upto ten yrs in prison for it now
so you can see public nausince and onto top of that some very far reaching laws that have just exploded a one megaton warhead over our rights and then throw in whats going on with the courts and we certainly have a vbery toxic and potent mix uk may as well stop pretending and just change its name to the united kingdoms of gilead

We were on a site just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Spiral Tribe came and stayed for a few weeks. We ended up getting escorted by the police out of Kent and into Sussex. Their was around 40 vehicles, almost all with no insurance or tax, which the police decided to turn a blind eye to, we were escorted right through Tunbridge Wells and the rest of Kent into Sussex. Nasty that mate, I was on the convoy for years, we just wanted to be left alone and we targeted common land many miles from people, but we were deliberately moved closer to home/farm owners by the police in a cynical ploy to make us unpopular. You have to remember this was Thatcher's Britain...many of us were totally written off and together we found a place for ourselves. We had our own ideas of right and wrong...I don't think there's a single person out there that doesn't agree with me when I say that the laws of this country are completely anachronistic and aren't fit for purpose...they need re-writing entirely! I find it incredible that you are proud of setting up peaceful people (with lies) to get kicked about by the police! I don't know how you sleep at night.

Most drug dealers in Britian wanted the same as that convoy. A peaceful existence. No hassel, just the right to paint the Anarchic A on your illegal vehicles, the right to deal illegal drugs as if you are some phd qualified pharmaceutically licenced pharmacist. As well as living the drop-out rejectionist life style sticking your fingers up at normal people.

Do you realise the trail of destruction that drugs leave? They don't grow in fields. It takes organised crime to get them to you. They organised crime leaves a trail of murder, crime and ruined lives as they fight over the money. It's a shame that so many of the victims of that crime don't have the "freedom" you think the travellers should have to take drugs. But then again, you're a naive self indulgent idiot aren't you?

I thought I heard something calling me
I've seen the pictures on TV
And I made up my mind that I'd go and see
    With my own eyes
It didn't take too long to hitch a ride
With a guy going south to start a new life
Past the place where my friend died
    Two years ago
Down the 303 at the end of the road
    Flashing lights - exclusion zones
And it made me think it's not just the stones
    That they're guarding
Hey, hey, now can't you see
There's nothing here that you can call free
    They're getting their kicks
They're laughing at you and me
As the sun rose on the beanfield
They came like wolf on the fold
And no, they didn't give a warning
    They took their bloody toll
    I seen a pregnant woman
Lying in blood of her own
    I seen her children crying
As the police tore apart their home
And no they didn't need a reason
    It's what your votes condone
It seems they were committing treason
By trying to live on the road
    And I say
Hey, hey, now can't you see
There's nothing here that you can call free
    They're getting their kicks
They're laughing at you and me
Hey, hey, now can't you see
There's nothing here that you can call free
    They're getting their kicks
They're laughing at you and me
    Bastards
    Remember what you heard
Hey, hey, now can't you see
There's nothing here that you can call free
    They're getting their kicks
They're laughing at you and me

The travellers certainly threw the best parties when the mainstream was so commercial. The travelling people I met were always as nice as pie. We went to Holland Leiden where our friend was squatting. On the Oct 123 the spiral tribe came to party n what a party they threw. Complete nutcases they were but were very welcoming and friendly. I can understand why the straight goers found it sll intimidating etc but I personally never saw violence at their parties well I did but it was the police causing it. In Holland the authorities seemed to ignore this Spiral Tribe party it wasnt small like.
