worked. held the restart for a long time, felt the phone vibrate 6 or 7 times before the samsung a12 came on. Had to continue with the tap and smack methods for a while since the screen would go grey, then white stripes, then homescreen and such. Now that i had it on and working i am rice bagging it, just in case moisture is also an issue (was used for music while skiing). Thanks!

The A12 is the worst, cheapest phone I have ever had experience with. I should have known better than to trust it with precious pictures. But then again, you never know who is going to go and what pictures are going to become precious over night. If you have one of these phones, back it up WEEKLY. They suck, and WILL fail on you. Also, am I the only person getting anxiety over how they’re touching the active screen? If I just touch my phone screen without looking for a single second, it will have activated the emergency thing, texted somebody I really don’t want to talk to, or ordered something I don’t have money for.. But for real, my iPhones have A$$ dialed 911 four times on me, how have you not hit the emergency thing yet
My A50 falls from almost 1.5m and get black screen but it works perfectly, I get calls, massages and notifications and even try to force restart it screen won't turn un but I feel vibration. Can you please help, should I replace the lcd or is it something else?

Can't believe this actually worked. The smash part did its job and the soft reset worked. After that, the screen crashed, so I think that the problem is related to the screen connector or something. But at least I could get my phone rolling

how long did it take to turn on?
mine has been off for hours no and I keep doing the same method and all I can feel is vibrate but wont turn on.
