Also... Yes, they were drag queens, this is the second time SNSD features drag queens in their MV.
The first time, Taeyeon literally called out all the homophobes on Instagram and told them not to even think of hurting her friends, who were the drag queens in the MV.
Fun fact about the Mr Mr MV: a good portion of it was actually lost due to some mistake SM made. The comeback was delayed, they had to refilm a few scenes but not everything and that's why there are some random scenes in a parking lot and the deal with them as doctors and that man doesn't really go anywhere.
The documentary version of the All Night MV is basically the song with a few interviews of the girls in between the music, commemorating their 10 year anniversary. Unfortunately it doesn' have english subs and I can't seem to find them either :(
15:58 Yes, those are drag queens!! And it's not the first time drag queens are featured in a SNSD MV, as there are a few in their Love and Girls MV. After the filming of that MV (in 2013), Taeyeon posted a picture with the drag queens on instagram and when commenters told her to delete it she said she wouldn't and not to talk badly about her friends.

Hoot is the best Bond Theme Song that never made it into a movie. The Arrow Shooting Dance became a popular thing at the time. The "spy" is Siwon of Super Junior. They regularly performed it for a year, right up until The Boys came out. Their Comeback performances for Mr. Mr. were actually way better than the MV with some unique choreography. They danced with male backup dancers for the first time.
Mr Mr is in my top 5 snsd korean songs, their japanese tracks are in a different league. You should check out the live Mr Mr performance at sketchbook it's so good :D
You are absolutely correct about Sketchbook Live Mr.Mr. and IMHO SNSD/TTS appearances/performances on Sketchbook are particularly good---Yu Huiyeol is a great artist in his own right, and a very funny and professionally sympathetic host too.

Yes their Japanese songs are in whole different league. Sometimes i like Japanese versions of Korean songs more than the original versions (like Oh and Genie) but Paparazzi and The Great Escape are my most favorite among Japanese songs by SNSD

Catch Me If You Can is a persoanl favorite. It was originally filmed in Japanese with Jessica but when she left they never released it. They refilmed it and it was released in both Korean and Japanese. The Jessica video was leaked and is online. Its a go to cardio song for me. Also check out the legendary Karma Butterly performances from their tours, HQ dvd versions on here.

I love keeping up with your channel and your SNSD adventure! ITS AWESOME! Mr Mr is also one of my favorites of theirs because its a stand out in their library, no a lot of their songs sound like that, specially around the time it came out, so when it did a lot of SONE didnt quite like it right away and because of the fiasco that was the delay of that comeback, the music video debacle and the fact that if im not mistaken this was the last FULL comeback with jessica as part of SNSD it tends to be a weird time in Girls Generation history but is such a good song and the production is stellar. So knowing that you loved it, I strongly...and I mean...STRONLY suggest you watch (in your own personal time or react to it if you want....Im a biased to the second option) to their Mr Mr live performances. The choreo, the style....the aura....THE OUTFITS (the pink dresses, the black and white suits, the one with the orange jackets and the pink suits with blue shirts....ughhhhhh)
I think u like more mr mr, igab, and holiday bc those songs are more like how Kpop sounds now days which is fine
but i think the other songs are “weird” mostly bc the old K-Pop songs are more like a pure K-Pop I guess and for new people it’s at first a little weird haha 😂❤️

at this point in my sone life idk anymore if i like the songs so much bc i love the girls so much, or if it's the other way around but regardless they make me happy and that's smth i treasure these days.. it's also the reason why it's so fun to watch ur reactions bc i feel like i'm experiencing it all over again lol now i get to happily enjoy their solo careers and reminisce on the good old days.. tomorrow? who knows, i am keeping my hopes up that we may see them all on stage once again, even if it takes some time
mr. mr. is hands down my favorite title track from snsd, FLAWLESS. but both hoot and all night would be in my top 5 to be honest, i don't think snsd have bad title tracks but these 3 are all top tiers

15:18 Taeyeon be like ahh straight people stay away, and yes they are drag queens. This is the second time they appear in a snsd MV the other being Love and Girls (Japanese). People didn't like it and said remove them but Taeyeon defended them saying they are her friends so leave them alone. So proud of them for breaking taboo barriers!

Snsd songs are very tricky.. there are some songs that u love it and some that actually take time to grow on you and some that arent ur cup of tea at all.. this is actually good because when u listen to other group song, u’ll expect that u gonna love it because they do mainstream and the same concept everytime so that they meet your expectation. But for snsd case, they are one of those group that experiment every genre and every concept and make sure that do them justice and not to please the mainstream. This is the reason why i love and adore snsd so much, every song of them bring me different kind of feelings, atmosphere and views. From Into the new world to Gee to Genie to Oh to RDR then we have The boys, IGAB, and Lion heart. Gosh i can go on and go but this is just so different and refreshing... they are the only group that i wont have too much expectation because i knew they gonna bring something new to the table every release.
Wow snsd! They are my original favorite kpop group. I even cried when Jessica left SNSD and when Tiffany, seohyun and sooyoung left SM entertainment. Then I met Gfriend and they somehow fixed my broken heart. :) :)

About the "retro vibe" : I'm a Brit (from "Surrey, actually") and moved to Manhattan straight from College in 1982 To me this music video in essence captures the club scene I experienced and enjoyed back then. Apart from the song and music production, I'm endlessly impressed with how the style of the video, the scenes, the overall look and sound, seems so familiar. So why would SM and SNSD reference the 1980's in a 2017 MV and single? Because, I guess, for all their commercial calculations, they are all passionate about music, any genre, any era.
Actually, there's a story behind 'Mr Mr' mv, but I'm a lazy potato to do a long ass type🤦🏻♀️
