With the football thing i feel the exact same: why is it a football if you use your hands? My sister joked that it should be called a Lemon ball because of its shape lol. I almost thought you missed dressing the manikins because you didn’t talk about it but I’m pretty sure you didn’t

I knew it! You used new kits. 😊 It's gorgeous. 😍Your flower shop is sooo cute. In the painting you use as reference, the shop is labelled "Le jardin" which mean the garden 😉 In the order of the painting, your music shop replace the "salon" which means... to be honest I don't know, even though I'm French. 😅 In France there is not really shops called "salon", sometimes you could find a "salon de thé" which is a tea room or a "salon de toilettage" wich is a grooming salon but just "salon" means usually a living room in a house (so not related at all with an idea of shop) or a trade fair/exhibition. So in this context I don't know. As I said, the second building is "le jardin" = the garden. The third "boulangerie" means bakery, and the fourth "Vins et Fr..." I guess stands for "vins et fromages" wich means wines and cheeses.
12:29 In France, we call soccer "football" or just "foot". So we call your soccer ball a "ballon de football" or just a "ballon de foot". All the players, execpt the goalkeeper, can't use their hands to touch the ball, they need to touch it with their feet or their legs. So football is pretty accurate. And for the oval ball, we call it a "ballon de rugby" and yeah it is a bit strange for us that USA named it football ball because football ("football américain") is not so common here in France, but soccer and rugby are ! 😅To sumarise, in France : soccer = "football", football = "football américain" and rugby = "rugby"

Yeah I’m American and i think its weird how they decided to use a name that already exists and change the name of what had the name originally
