      There's a debate about whether the type of system that existed in the Eastern republics was similar to that of Western Republics. We don't know. Panini's point could also be meant for the Kshatriyas alone i.e there was complete equality within the Kshatriyas.
      Also, there's no evidence to suggest that caste didn't exist in the western part of the Subcontinent. Most evidence I've come across does point to the fact that caste also existed in Western India. Panini calls the republics of western India Kshatriya sangha. So clearly, Varna was there in western India as well.

    Aulikaras fought successfully with Huns & defeated them.
    Malava rulers Aulikaras from eastern Rajasthan are descendants of early Malavas or Malav,present Ravi areas of Mulsthan or Multan.
    Multan is still called as land of Aulias& wheather this name relates to Aulikaras ?

      in some versions of the inscription we find this name but in some scholars interpret it as meaning "enemy". So there's a debate about who this second power was.

    • @JayVardhanSingh
      @JayVardhanSingh  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The script was used particularly in Eastern UP and Bihar region. I belong to eastern UP so I thought it would be nice to use it here.
      It is hard to trace the rise and fall of Kaithi scirpt. We know it originated from Nagari but when it comes to the decline, there's no one reason. Standardisation of a common Devanagri script and other political factors were behind the decline of this script.

    Hi , I recently discovered your channel. I have a general question regarding ancient history. And you seem to be a very knowledgable person.
    What are your views on Puranic Chronology and how our currently established timeline may not be accurate and have a error of 600-1300 years. Acc to this theory, Alexander and Chandragupta Maurya are not contemporaries, Many events have been dated from Parikshit's crowning (Abhimanyu's son) and do not fit at all according to the current timeline. Even for Magadha rulers there is complete list from Jarasandha to Brihadartha dynasty, which was then overthrown by Bimbisara. DR Mankad wrote a book in 1952 on the same, And Vedveer Arya is building upon it in the recent times.

    • @JayVardhanSingh

    Do we find conclusive evidence of Aulikaras bruh from Malavas?

    • @JayVardhanSingh
      @JayVardhanSingh  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, there's no conclusive proof. But we have names of the Malava Raja who claims to belong to a gotra similar to the gotra of an early Aulikara king. Then both ruled the same region and were present during the same period. From all this, it is generally believed that the Aulikaras belonged to the Malava gana.

      yay the huns just happened to leave behind there coins in India. And all those kings just made up a story about reclaiming territorry lost to hunas. The huna invasion of India was also mentioned in chinese and indian sources and it almost singlehandedly led to fall of guptas and rise of pushyabhutis. There are multiple Rajput clans that are descended from hunas.
