Collecting artifacts is generally frowned upon, either because it may disturb delicate ecosystems or because it’s disrespectful to remove cultural artifacts of the native communities whose land this was. So instead of mudlarking, I collect the little treasures I find gardening in my own back garden. We have a tiny Museum of Backyard Archaeology in our living room. I’ve got a magical collection of things from the past, which I just realized is shockingly dusty.

Happy belated birthday Fleur. Funny your birthday on the 12th is the same as my youngest daughter and your second film is on Jan 1st which is my oldest daughters birthday.
