Absolutely! Majority of flowers and foliage prefer to be kept in a cooler, low lit environment (ideally between 5 to 8 degrees) to help them last longer. If stored in a domestic environment with the heating on, Eucalyptus tends to dry out and crisp over a period of time.

Hello Victoria, thank you for watching. The Eucalyptus is obtainable in early May, however towards the end is the new growth and you will need to source alternatives as shown in the list above; olive branches, dusty miller (senecio), rosemary, echeveria, brunia berries and phlebodium are all available in May.

There are lots of different types of Eucalyptus as shown in the video. I would suggest to research this more or trialling it with the Eucalyptus.

Great video - thank you! I bought a few fresh branches of baby blue to hang in my shower for the scent and therapeutic benefits. Although they receive moisture everyday (from daily showers), the dried up within a week and the smell has faded significantly. For future fresh eucalyptus purchases, should I take the branches down after each shower and keep them in vase with water to prolong their life?

Do you need to treat eucalyptus in hot water before putting in cold water?

This is not an essential for the conditioning process. Are you sourcing cut foliage or cutting from your garden?
