Great video, thank you. I have a feeder at home, but can't hold out to the peanut consumption. At least 25kg/week is unsustainable for me, 90% of which is by birds. I am going to try filling on a Thursday night and see if that will still draw a few in for my weekend shooting..

Totally agree Nigel. The feeder I bought I simply cut a square piece of thin plastic out of the side of 4 pint milk container and duck taped it like a flap over the nut tray. It works an absolute treat. Squirrels simply lift it with their nose and the rain doesn’t get into the nuts. I hate it when my nuts get wet! 😂

JND Fishing Providing you either own the garden or have written shooting permission (backed-up with shooting insurance), then legally you can shoot them with an airgun providing you can justify that under the general license they're causing destruction locally. You must also ensure your pellets don't cross the property boundary (else that's "Armed trespass"), you must not shoot within 50ft of a road, and ensure any neighbours who overlook the garden are aware of what you're doing.
If in doubt call 101 before and afterwards, so the Police are aware and they don't need to attend if someone calls them.
      Hope this helps, cheers. Russ

      @@jndfishing4693 Happy to help.
The bit re informing / reassuring your neighbours is to keep everything tickety-boo.
If someone saw you aiming a gun and felt threatened by you that's actually an offence too, so best inform them and be a good neighbour.
Obviously you also need a big enough garden and a good backstop.
      Cheers. Russ

Pest control is not technically sport but it's also a practice some people enjoy at the same time. It's legal and also the method used by conservation projects and charities like the RSPB (the biggest wildlife charity in the world). It's infinitly more humane and effective than trapping or shooting them 'on the run'.
