    Nice! I have a similar set but mine stay square the whole way down. I have no access to machine tools but may try to chuck it up and use a file to make it round. Good job on the step by step and addressing every aspect.

    been watching you channel when you were doing rod building.and I have a question, I have started trying to make cork handles, and the biggest problem I have is cutting a tendon square so that a butt cap fits or the handle fits into a reel seat, Do you have any suggestions or recommend a tool that I could use, thank you

      I use a file to get is close and finis it with 150 grit sand paper. Fold the paper once to make it stiffer and finish the tendon. Hope that helps.

      Thank you for the information, i have been using a four in one file,, it may not be long enough for me to brace it and hold straight, will try a longer file, again thank you
