$100 Oceanview Mine High Grade Ore Bag...Is it Worth it? You Decide!

2023 - Update! We picked up a $100 Gem Ore bag from the Oceanview mine in Pala, California.
According to Palaminerals.com, "The Pala pegmatite district, in northwestern San Diego County, California, has been a widely known source of gem and lithium minerals." The mines in this district have produced some of the most rare and valuable gem minerals found no where else in the world.
We ended up with lots of Tourmaline, Garnets, Aquamarine, Kunzite, and Quartz Crystals.

For somebody like me who can longer go out in the field, It was worth it. 2 bags, one very nice kunzite, 2 large shorl pieces that appear to be floaters, several quartz crystals, garnets and other pieces.

If I didn't know better I would be wondering what you were saying when you say "ore bag". Lol couldn't help but giggle everything you said it. I feel like these ore bags are definitely a gamble at $100 a pop.

they are a gamble but where else u gonna end up with such stones? I would have to say I've probably ended up at least even on resale.

Nice haul. I'm waiting on 2 bags from GoP since they closed the doors and I cant pick them up.
I was curious, did you have to make a reservation at Oceanview to pick up some bags or can you just drop in during business hours?

you can just drop in to pick up. probably a good idea to go on a day they have screenings and tours.

I have had 2 bags delivered and 1 bag I picked up at the site and I didn't get anything bigger than a grain of rice.

Never had that happen with Oceanview bags. In fact, I've always ended up better with the bags than by doing the all day screening.
