This is a decent little offroad trail leading from Dart Canyon to Pilot Rock Fire Camp near Crestline, California in the San Bernardino Mountains. We got stuck once but were able to get it out.

For somebody like me who can longer go out in the field, It was worth it. 2 bags, one very nice kunzite, 2 large shorl pieces that appear to be floaters, several quartz crystals, garnets and other pieces.

If I didn't know better I would be wondering what you were saying when you say "ore bag". Lol couldn't help but giggle everything you said it. I feel like these ore bags are definitely a gamble at $100 a pop.
they are a gamble but where else u gonna end up with such stones? I would have to say I've probably ended up at least even on resale.
I have had 2 bags delivered and 1 bag I picked up at the site and I didn't get anything bigger than a grain of rice.
Never had that happen with Oceanview bags. In fact, I've always ended up better with the bags than by doing the all day screening.
Nice haul. I'm waiting on 2 bags from GoP since they closed the doors and I cant pick them up. I was curious, did you have to make a reservation at Oceanview to pick up some bags or can you just drop in during business hours?
you can just drop in to pick up. probably a good idea to go on a day they have screenings and tours.
That's good to know, I got to say I went to gems pala for the first time with my family and it was fun, however we didn't not find much so hoping to make a trip to ocean view soon

What do you think was the better deal? Thinking of buying one of these mail-order bags myself. Leaning towards the Gems of Pala, as it seems to have the better tourmaline material and also is cheaper. I don’t really care too much about the other minerals, except for maybe morganite. Was there any morganite in the gems of pala bag? I also believe that a lot of the Oceanview bag finds are “salted” while I think the Pala is all natural ore, though correct me if I’m wrong on that.
Well, salted or not the Oceanview had way more green pink and green black tourmaline.

I think over all when we got the best of the best sorted out The Oceanview was a much better deal.
