the dark cell has a historical story of it's own. back in the day if there were any trouble makers they got sent to the dark cell room. there was only one door and a hole in the roof. the hole was used to throw food to the prisoners and some times the guards would throw rattlesnakes down on top of the prisoners. can you imagine standing shoulder to shoulder and having a rattlesnake hit you on the head? makes you wonder who was worse of a person, the prisoners or the guards. they had a sign telling this back in 14 and 2015 but they had to take it down because of the do gooders thought it was not fitting for others to see. we saw it the first time we went then the second time we went it was gone and one of the workers told us why it was gone. I found the prison to be very neat to see. glad I'm a law bidden citizen

Did a week in Cottonwood so I was close enough for day trips to Sedona.. You really have to see it in person..
Yes, I agree.
I was especially fond of the drone footage. 😂😂😂
Yes,...folks really love the drone stuff.

Ditto on the glad to be a law abiding citizen thing. This place was scary to see knowing that some folks actually ended up here for YEARS!
"take the 3:10 to Yuma". Watch the movie
These old historic prison tours are a fascinating look into the past. I'm glad I was able to find my way out.
