    I've been really enjoying the bigger form factor, the drone is a ton of fun to fly and I'm already planning some trips where I will use it again for some mountain surfing :)
    Hope you guys enjoy the video 👊🏼

    Great overall review of the Chimera7. I purchased this quad when it first came out. Still haven't been able to leverage it, as designed - mountain surfing, etc, because I live in New York City. However when I go upstate or to the countryside, it is my go-to drone. The vibrations in high winds makes me nervous, but it has never failed me. GPS lock is so fast too!

      Yeah it's a solid "out of the city" drone for sure haha

    Nice review, Just one note: Don’t worry much about the “Telemetry Lost” message, sounds scary, but I believe it happens when crossfire switches between modes. Instead setup LQ:
    - 2:100 is perfect and lower latency
    - 1:100 is still very solid but higher latency
    - If it starts dropping below 1:90 definitely time to turn around, but i often fly 7km out with no problem.
    Thanks for the review, cheers!

    Great review, and good luck with your future flights with it👍🏻
    I have the 1300kv model as well, and think it’s absolutely fantastic for LR cruising. I’ve been out 6.3 miles so far, and hope to push it to the dji hard limit of 8.2 miles. I use a 8000mAh 6s2p for LR which will get me just over 20 minutes fast cruising, with an overall weight of 1700g😎

      I also have the Chimaera 7 with Molicel P42A 6s2p 8200mah, I've heard people say they get 45mins flight time with 6s2p 8000+mah but on closer inspection, these 45mins flights are barely any throttle just enough to stay in the air, keeping amp draw to a minimum.
      That's not how real world flying works, in a real world test, and actually using enough throttle to climb a mountain 🏔️, I'm getting about 25min with 8000mah and 15-17min with 4000mah.

    • @kevcdrone
      @kevcdrone 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jhughes2286 Flying like I like to, which is to keep between 80-90kmh, which when you’re as close to the floor as is possible, is plenty fast enough, and with GoPro and 8Ah I get 20-21minutes.
      As you say, the long flight time tests are not relevant to real world cruising.

    Mate, be careful with those 6s1p packs. Those cells are rated for up to 30-40A max, but with such a heavy weight is quite easy to reach that level of current. Go instead with a 4000mah LIPO or a 8000 6s2p Li-ion.. these are what I am using and they're really spot on for a 7 inch! Keep it up!

    • @DroneSupremacy

      What i meant by that is to have a straight line of visibility between you and the drone, without any obstacles in the way. That way the signal can go very far, instead of bouncing through a series of rocks/trees for example and get lost.
