    Awesome flight! And I agree it is wild to get such an adrenaline rush while sitting still. This is great inspiration as I gear up to fly one of the 14k ft mountains here in Colorado in about 2 weeks. Cheers!

    You really pushed those iflight crystal patches not even to its limits yet. Lots of naysayers saying it doesnt give a decent range. This flight of yours destroyed those claims. Great flight vid! This is why we fly - for those adrenaline shakes haha

      Haha true! Can’t wait for the long winter nights to be over so I can go fly again! Yeah the iFlight antennas should be good enough for the 13km hard limit.

    You rock! Epic snow ridge proximity surfing, I wonder what was the wind (km/h) up there? Definitely on the edge taking it so close. I also like nice approach and touch down on pillow! Your flights are really something special! Also again great narration and video editing explaining all little (but sometimes crucial) details about long range mounting surfing. Congrats and looking forward for your next endeavors!

      Thank you again for watching and giving feedback! Yeah you could really feel the wind in the way the drone was behaving when reaching the top! I have my camera mounted underneath so I have to be careful when landing! I´ll try and be more consistent in my uploading.

    • @ArcticriderFPV
      @ArcticriderFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      You may ask 😄 Do they also climb 1500 meters with full size gopro and travel at 90km/h? Also temperature and wind will cause differences in flight time. I could føy longer as I have 1000-2000mah left kn the packs but I was pretty much done flying when I had returned, always better to have some left than not making it back :)

    Yea, GoPro settings on sunny days in snowy mountains is always tricky. GoPro app is annoying, half the time I just look at the GoPro screen. Point at the brightest thing around me and expose for that.
    I’m actually down in the Møre og Romsdal region. I’ve actually been thinking hard about making an under frame GoPro Mount.
    Nice flight, the DJI is so nice looking, but the system also make me nervous for this sort of flight. Cheers bud!

    • @ArcticriderFPV
      @ArcticriderFPV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but also no. With normal DJI controller, as long as I have video I should also have signal for the controller. But with crossfire I have a stronger signal for the controller, so if I lose video I should still have control signal with crossfire/tango 2.

    • @ArcticriderFPV

      @pottyputter05 ปีที่แล้ว

      I went analog for my first fpv mainly bc of the price on top of the already large amount spent on all the stuff I need to jump right in. Maybe it wasn't smart but I don't think it is a huge mistake considering even if somehow the goggles became useless which they won't, I'll have spent only about $100 on them. I also dk how many options there are bc I only ever see dji for HD

    • @ArcticriderFPV
      @ArcticriderFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pottyputter05 i went straight to DJI, it was the only proper HD option at the time, now we have Walksnail, HDZero and DJI. Also buying into this hobby for the first time if going digital can be quite expensive!

      Had me in the first half! Not gonna lie 😂 No unfortunately not, lots of useful videos out there and the drones and gear is constantly evolving. I will still reccomend crossfire for transmitter protocol and would probably go for air unit O3, but the original air unit is still holding strong. Also get a big lithium ion pack, I am currently flying 8000Mah 6S packs.

    are you using anything to make the signal on your goggles better? i use to test my range on analog but i get pretty nervous when it starts to get blocky

    • @ArcticriderFPV
      @ArcticriderFPV  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No just after market antennas, just make sure you have a functioning return to home/GPS rescue that you can activate in case of signal loss. Blocky video is also a nice indication for when signal is starting to fade, if you know the terrain well you can tell if you are flying too low behind trees or passing behind rocks/buildings.
