One other reference I think you missed was that whenever Dolores tells Camilo about Bruno, at the end his eyes split super wide apart, like Sid the Sloth. Both Sid the Sloth and Bruno were voice acted by the same person, John Leguizamo.

Mirabel didn't instinctively know Antonio's power, she just was the observant one (which is why she wore glasses) and she said when she gave him the gift "i know you like animals" which I think why he got powers to talk to animals

Also something else about that frozen reference is when he’s singing let it rain, let it snow, let it go, you can literally hear the little musical part for let it go in the back ground, you kind of have to really listen for it but it’s there
Something you didn't mention was with the kid that was always drinking coffee, coffee was the drink for a reason and that is because coffee is the most popular drink in Colombia.
yes, and in Surface Pressure Mirabel and Luisa fall on a giant coffee grinding machine with the red coffee beans, and you can also see in that scene, coffee bags around, also showing not just coffee as a drink but as a product, as it is our biggest export, no video on Encanto that I have seen, talks about that part, they focus on the iceberg and Hercules, maybe they'll mention the doors, but not the coffee scene
Also, kids are allowed to drink caffeine in Columbia, so not too out of the ordinary for that kid to be drinking coffee
Did u know mirabels power is Golden butterflies and also she's becoming the housekeeper and mirabel is the favorite kid

@@Def.not.Hannah 1. Is Colombia not Columbia, 2. not everywhere in Colombia kids are given coffee, it depends on the region and even the generation, I never got given cofee as a kid, but my cousin's wife from a different region did.
I love these observations. I had some myself but they were so "on the surface".
Dolores was always so nosey so her gift/curse was to be able to hear the drop of a dime.
Antonio loved animals so he's now able to talk to them.
Pepa was possibly depressed which is why she always has a cloud

My dude, you missed the nod to Atlas from Greek Mythology, ya know, the titan who holds up the sky, or the world in some depictions, but the depiction holding the world is what is referenced by surface pressure when luisa is carrying the globe.
She is the magic... Her grandma is the candle care taker... But when the house ONLY CRACKS WHEN SHE IS STRESSED, SCARED or just angry! She IS THE MAGIC.
Did you know? Casita helped Mirabel to get the candle and Casita threw her family out and when Mirabel got the candle Casita protected her because she will be next holder like Nate said and her room is across Alma's room

I have noticed that when Mirabel is singing “The family madrigal” when she is by the mural of the family the person she is talking about on the mural will light up as she’s talking about them, another thing, in the song “we don’t talk about Bruno” when they are singing all together Isabella does not sing: “He told me that the life of my dreams would be promised and someday be mine, he told me that my power would grow like the grapes the thrive in the vine” twice, she sings: “He told me that the life of my dreams would be promised and someday be mine, he told me that my power would grow like the grapes the thrive on the vine, I’m fine” the second time she sings that same verse, she sings : “He told me that the life of my dreams would be promised and someday be mine, and I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, I’ll be fine.” Indicating the later events of Isabela feeling like she has to be perfect for the family and later transforming into her true colours and her true self.

Personally I would love to hear any theories Nate might have about Encanto. I've been obsessed lately and I've seen so many theories that other people have and I think it would be great to either see Nate debunking/proving these or share his own. He’s actually very inaccurate about many of these things such as color correlation with Pepa and Felix’s outfit and the meaning of the butterfly and his godawful pronunciation

Also in the house, Mirabel's room is right across from Abuela's room which I think is a direct reference of the parallel between them

I’m not saying your wrong about “ it’s like I hear him now” but at that part, she talks about how a man belonged to another person (Isabella) would some day be hers. Since the guy (I forgot his name) is walking up to the house with Abuela, I think she’s talking about how she can hear him now. But that’s just what I think
I was looking for someone else who thought this!! She mentions earlier in the song that she can hear Bruno "muttering and mumbling" so I thought that was a reference that she knew he was living in the wall. But yeah, definitely think that "It's like I hear him now" is reference to the "man of her dreams"

If you notice, When Mirabel puts the candle in front of Abuela's door, she looks the picture of her family members who got their gifts, in the pictures everyone has their elder version of portrait engraved in the door, but in Antonio's door its his current version
Did anyone else catch Abuela's wedding band at the end? It's got a distinctly green patina to it, like Mirabel's glasses- further linking the two (add Bruno and his "green" character design to them, as well).

I watched Encanto for the first time on Disney+ on Christmas Day and it was amazing and wonderful. Mirabel, Luisa and Antonio are my favorite characters from that movie.
Encanto is the only moive that I watch on every holiday non-stop but my least favorite characters are Luisa, Mirabel, and Antonio

You missed so many easter eggs. Plus, when Abuela sings the Family Madrigal, Abuela uses the same word instead of a ryming one.( "There's Deja vu." )Tamatoa did that same thing. Abuela: burning, Tamatoa: glitters. Tamatoa was from the Moana. Encanto is from the creators of Moana.
Lin Manuel mentioned having to whip out his Moana notebook when working on this movie

This is just a mistake in the movie, I think but he should’ve included how in the song “family madrigal”, while Mirabel is standing in front of the family tree, Antonio is wearing the outfit that has animals on it, revealing his power. But, before he gets his gift, he wears a white shirt, to not make it so obvious what his gift is going to be.

(Spoilers) 3:26 I think that the doors mean luisa is trying to hold up the magic from vanishing by holding up the pressure of the candle and the tornado is a fight at the end of the movie but luisa fails

My hole family loved this movie, we're all Colombian and loved how Disney showed the diferent parts of my country through the flora and fauna as well as the characters, the food and the clothing.The music is verry acurate as well, the last song named "Colombia, Mi Encanto" features a lot of colombian instruments and the singer is Carlos Vives, wich is really famous here.
Dolores is my favorite character by far. I wish these things were in the movie:
1. How terrible it must’ve been when she got her gift.
2. Her eyeing people and saying “Oh, I hear EVERYTHING” and people looking away in shame (more for the adults)
3. The Madrigals instinctively whispering when they speak to her.
4. Her actually hearing Mariano’s poetry accompanied by a solo.
5. Earplugs!!! People literally having to tap her to get her attention.

You missed an Easter egg on Mirabel’s dress. If you look closely at her dress you will see a pattern that symbolizes each member of the family. For example, there’s a candle on her dress for Abuela Alma and animals for Antonio. It is easier to see if you buy a Mirabel doll. By the way there’s a pattern that symbolizes each Madrigal EXCEPT Dolores and that kinda makes me mad.

It's because they were still making changes to Dolores after merch was created but prior to the final cut of the film. Same reason there wasn't a lot of Luisa merch. They design all of that way before movie release so that it's available BEFORE the movie is and it doesn't factor in any last minute changes etc.
But Mirabel's dress in movie has golden hearts which is a reference to Dolores' earrings.

I have 3 theorys of what mirabels gift could be 1: She can transform into a butterfly 2: She can sing loudly and no one in the house sings like her 3: She is transforming into the keeper of the house.

The reason that Mirabel isn't given a room when she was a child is that she is actually destined to move into Abuela's, taking over her power when she sadly dies (unless her gift is also immortality, as that would mean Mirabel is waiting a long time) AN THAT IS WHY AFTER THE MOVIE THE FRONT DOOR WAS HER DOOR

The reason Mirabelle has flowers all over her outfit is because actually Antonio's gift is to talk to animals like a butterflies are animals I think but since it both have gifts in common I think that Mirabelle actually has a gift but doesn't show up mostly but her gift is actually to share love and affection in the family
So that's my prediction
When I saw the doorknob scene and mirabel sees herself in reminds me of the brownies ‘twist me and turn me and show me the elf I look in the water and there I saw myself’
