I have found this video really useful :D I am using CS4, but I do not believe it has an impressionist brush and the blending I have tried is not like in the video. Please can I ask if you could suggest anything I could try?

WOW!!!! What a cool way to teach about "stacking order", 'Layer mask" and "blending" all in one tutorial! Very well thought out and executed. Goes to show how the mind needs to look at these projects when dealing with multiple layers. It is a bit different in ones mind before you do this exercise but once you get the basics down pat you really can control the project you are working with much more effectively.
Thank you Rick for you time in doing this valuable tutorial.

Hi Rich - I'm so glad to hear that you are really connecting the dots!! So much in PS Elements comes down to understanding how Layers work. I believe it's the most important part of Elements. Thanks for your comments!

If Adobe would get rid if the idiotic cloud requirement, I would use photoshop. But Adobe wants to force its customers to use its products how Adobe wants, not how the customer wants. Their ebook reader requires users to store ebooks on their C drive, and you can't change this. Adobe is a terrible company and no one should buy their products until they change.

Thank you for yet another great tutorial packed with great tips and shortcuts. I have a question. I am thinking that the answer may lay in another video, but maybe you can direct me to it if needed. If you add the photos as you show and after resizing them, what can you do if you want to reposition the picture? I don't mean move that picture to another area of the collage. Say you wanted Linda more in the middle of her photo that is shown, or less of the sky in the Mount Lemon photo. What if you wanted to make the guys in the picture bigger and make the flowers smaller to be more in proportion? Thank you again - Julie
