Return it to the tribe. I hope the tribe will then maintain it by keeping the growers, loggers, and squatters out. Make it a wild place to visit.

Use the casino money to buy it back. Then take responsibility for it if it burns people homes down. This seems very fair to me.

It is not that easy. You don't think classism doesn't exist on reservation land? Who owns and runs the casinos is very limited. Lots of big money interests. These are the common folk and what they want. On their own damn land too. Just give it to them. Might be the only chance the redwoods have.

@@emceeunderdogrising have you ever been to the rez?

@@unknownperson3649 I spent a lot of time there as a child. Back in the 90s. I had one close friend. And I also learned cool things like how to make acorn pancakes. Anytime I visited I was met with kind people. People who are more than worthy enough to hold their destiny in their own hands.
My main point is that there is a class struggle on land where casinos are allowed. Where a few well off leaders can make decisions that aren't in the best interests of the common person. Your place on the table shouldn't be dictated based on who owns the most casinos.

What do you mean "take responsibility for it if it burns people's homes down?"
Like the forest is what burns people's homes?! That is ill thinking.
Human error, PG&E, logging causing wind tunnels to carry the fires even faster & global warming are the reason for fires, not the forests themselves! Seriously? Without trees & forests none of us would be here. We need trees to breath. We can't live without trees! Deforestation is a major cause of global warming which causes drought which causes fires. Redwoods are fire resistant & help stop fires, where clear cutting & tunnels from downed trees spread them!
Please educate yourself properly. 🙏🏼 I'm not talking about indoctrinating yourself with lies from the government who want cash & power instead of trees. I'm talking about real education.
How about listening to the people who's stewardship made this land the paradise the settlers discovered. Not the Us government who found this paradise, wanted to take & then destroy!
      Thank you !
      Pomo Landback!! 💛

Yes, to the Pomo! The forest needs to be infused with the spirit that is sung and danced on this video.
