It's interesting to note that you have 132 books published, but only 5 or 6 that are really doing well. This seems about right. I have 34 books published (I started in March, six months ago) and have 2 or 3 books that are consistently selling well. Most of my books are making no sales at all. I'm learning to do more research and study the niches before I publish, which should help. It seems the best strategy is to keep publishing books! Double your numbers and I wonder if the same holds true: 264 books published, 10 or 12 books really selling well, royalties also double so your goal would be $4,000 a month. That's my Hallelujah Goal...$4,000 a month.
Yeah also good to note that some books do better than others due to seasonal fluctuations, such as back to school/halloween/etc doing well at different times of the year :). But obviously the aim is to make more of those top books that make sales all year round! $5k a month profit is main aim to get to, still a bit away from that though!
Thank you so much for sharing your genuine results here! My KDP account was terminated after I published my first books around 18 months ago and it was reinstated out of blue this month. You encourage me to continue working on creating new books and moving on the journey!
@@selfpublishingempire Can I ask you a question? Is it too late to do something for Halloween while we're in September? Or, Focus should be just for Christmas and later? I know there's no rule for anything but I just wanted to get your opinion based on your experience.
Your video encouraged me to post again on Amazon KDP, I even published some books but without many results. Then, if you could record videos on how you do the research to launch the books, I would really appreciate it, maybe that's why I didn't get any results.
Really inspiring, you must be excited for Q4. If you have 138 books now how many did you have last August? Interested in the rate you built the portfolio up.
Fortunately I've been documenting my results now for over a year! Funny how time flies! So here's last augusts income report to compare it to th-cam.com/video/1yCSNlOg_BM/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I like your videos. I just have one question: if you published five books in a month, did you do a launch for each one? How much do you typically invest in the launch of each book?
Thank you. Perhaps in the future. If you have any specific questions though you can book in a consultation with me over on my website, but I hope that my TH-cam videos are enough to help people get going :)
Hi Craig, interesting video as usual. What is the difference between a puzzle book and an activity book, please? Are puzzle books just one kind of game (sudoku, mazes...) and an activity book a mix of various kinds of games? Or am I totally wrong? Regards
Ah yes that's a good point. Puzzle books = more sudoku, mazes, crosswords etc. activity books are more themed work books with say colouring pages and that sort of thing.... But yeah they're very similar and a lot of overlap :)
Love it, I've been thinking about doing some how to books on very specific topics how do you think they'd go ? Are all your books low content, have you considered doing bigger in depth books on topics you have knowledge over ? Or is the time roi simply not worth it. Keep up the good work, smashing it :D
Hi there, im on my 11th kids book. Struggling for sales. I use fiverr to help with keywords, but still only the odd sale per month. Its soul destroying but just need to kerp going and hope for the best.
Very honestly and critically how good are your books, and how good are the front covers? That's one thing to look at. And then the other is what niche you're publishing in, you may be competing with too many books
Question: I'm having trouble keeping track of my total ad spend for the month...what I see on my marketing page is always different than what I am billed on my invoice. My August invoice was $150 for ads but when I do a report of ad spend for August on the marketing page, it shows $238. Is there a way to track ad spending correctly so I can know the amount I'll be billed before I actually get the invoice? Which is the accurate amount for the month, the $150 or the $238?
@@selfpublishingempire I finally found what I was looking for: it's under "Administration>Sponsored Ads Billing" on the Marketing page. It gives Accumulating Charges on a daily basis. I now can see how much I've currently spent on ads and know what my next bill will include at the end of the month. In August, I was billed $150 on August 26th, then billed again for $100 on Sept. 2! Ouch. Next time I won't be surprised.

(oops) My $150 a month budget was shot early. I made some mistakes, for sure. September I'll have much better control of my ad budget.
Great results bro! A significant increase from last August

It’s basically the 80/20. Most of the whatever will be in a small number overall.

Hi, I like your videos. I just have one question: if you published five books in a month, did you do a launch for each one? How much do you typically invest in the launch of each book?
Completely depends on the niche, normally somewhere between 10-150 dollars in the first month per book and after that it'll be reduced dramatically

Did You make this book with AI? Thank You for this honest video!
The top one was made with AI but also a lot of retouching in Photoshop to remove blemishes. The other books are a mix - some handmade, some AI
How do u find a good niche tried the search feature for books less than 1000 pages but its not effective
It's mostly a mix of that, using tools like Book Bolt or Publisher Rocket, and putting a fair bit of time in to ideas and research.

Amazon ads have banned me advertising my books on the UK/EU site.
They will Not tell me why!!! Though I can still place my Ads on Amazon USA ,Canada.
What do you mean banned? Tell me a bit more about your books, as I know you can't advertise swear words in the title for example.

Go to KDP Community and type in "suspicious activity." There were a number of people affected and they are getting it sorted out now.
