Really enjoy your videos on modular. Im considering getting into modular and these videos are very accessable to a newbie since you are moving at a slower pace (module by module). There are tons of other great modular vids and channels but they have the tendency to throw in lots of complicated stuff very quickly. They also have tons of modular gear making me feel like I have to buy EVERYTHING, but you have shown you can still get fun out of just a couple of modules. thanks
Hej David!!! its really nice to Learn from U!!! have the feeling that U r so close and no borders and u r not selling to me anything...Its really important to me - Trust!!! Thank U and all the Best 4 U!! and Your Family! Hugs from Ukraine!!!
I recently saw your video about the Microfreak and although I never thought I would, endet up buying it a 2 weeks ago and I'm so happy with it. I'm not planning to get into modular, but it's still so great to watch you videos, I really love your way of presenting.
Super cool. I’m just getting my feet wet with all of this. I’ve gotten lost in the world of VCV Rack and have recently purchased a MicroFreak so your videos are a very helpful inspiration. Thanks!
It's really cool how you show making music with a few eurorack modules. With big eurorack setups, it's confusing to know what module does what. I like how you showed a smaller setup and a way to get started.
Subscribed and liked! Please keep making these digestible videos. As a beginner looking to get into modular your videos have been very accessible and encouraging.
Really enjoyed the previous modular video and this one too! I looked through the rest of your channel videos and looks like you stopped with this series. I do see the one where you built a sample library with a much more fleshed out set of modules. Would love to see more intro videos following on from this one! Keep up the great work, I love your presentation style and clear explanations. Also the vibe of your videos is so chill and encouraging, love it!
My Crave arrived a week ago. Now I'm interested in this rabbit hole of modular, but I'll check out this series and see if it's really for me. Great series.
Thanks David, Im a bit of a noob myself and one of the things i couldn't get my head around was how to use my little behringer dual env gen/lfo in my patches. Now for some dark fun with Elements! :D
Such a wonderful introduction into the modular world…you’re approach and desires for modular closely aligns to my own! I have a few semi modular synths and the exact same setup you have made in this video I think will suit my setup perfectly! Thank you for such a helpful and well thought out video…really enjoying delving through your channel…!!
I’m just dipping my toe into this world so this video has been incredibly helpful. Is this the last video you did about your modular experience? Any updates?
The one dislike is probably from some elitist type who couldn't look past you case without rails. Lol. Thanks for the video. I'm still waiting on my case to ship, but gonna be getting into this thing called modular soon enough
Really nice intro videos on modular! So far you have been always recording one "instrument" of plaits into Ableton but is it also possible to output multiple of the "instruments" of plaits oscillators at the same time (possibly towards other modules for effects or something else)?
I have a plaits, and you can sorta do that, but not really. Each LED in the middle is a different synth model (8 green and 8 red for 16 models), and you can't send multiple outputs from different models. However, for each model, there's an "AUX" output, which is different depending on the model. For some, it's an alternate version of the synth model, so you have two similar but different outputs. For other models, like the percussive models, the AUX just sends the noise click that excites the main output.
Ataxia user here... Using it with Keystep Pro, couldn't find a way to keep an oscillator playing while I'm pressing the key. I mean, I can only send a modulation to a VCA, doesn't matter how long I play the key. Would love to know how to have "longer gates" using ataxia - btw, I use hysteria, Eudemonia and Nostalgia as well.
dude the difference between youre eurorack vids and other people is yr music actually sounds interesting

Awesome, I’m about to embark on the Eurorack journey, this vid is just the thing to watch!

Waiting to see you get into generative music!

Very cool. I love Plaits. I need to pick up an LFO with S&H or noise waveforms.
super inspiring!!!
So cool!
I love this so much!
You’re definitely pulling me towards wanting modular synth… 😅🙈😸
Really good channel man, sorry I'm late to the party. Will check out other videos
Thank you
nice video mate yh

Rang the bell! Part 3 to this coming soon?
So, where can this particular track be found other than this video? What is the name of the song, what is the name of the album, all that?
How did you use ableton midi to trigger the modular synth?
can't find the Ataxia module anywhere. seems discontinued, site returns a 404 :/

Really cool !! I build a sigar box guitar one time 😂 so your aprouch really triggers me.
Also was searching for people starting of modular
again: "..you need mutable instruments Clouds too..." ;)
it’s coming ;)
