- How to make easy cheese sauce for lasagne, macaroni cheese or to pour on cooked vegetables and grill until golden brown.
Cheese sauce ingredients
4 oz flour or 100 grms
4oz butter or 100 grms
3 and 1/2 pints of milk or 1 and 3/4 litres
8oz mature cheddar cheese or hard cheese or 200grms
salt and pepper to taste
She put too much flour and milk not enough cheese
Far too much.
normally the flour and butter should be the same kilo
Unless I'm making sauce for 300 people, I'd half or just use a 3rd of the ingredients, i wonder at what point she realizes shes made far too much lol

@@EasytoCookatHomeRose comparing other videos in think the flour used in ur video is cut to maybe a 3rd. And the cheese is 4xs more. This is just from what I've seen in other videos. I'm trying it for myself in a few

Takes forever. I don't have the patience
To do it in a few minutes you need to cook the flour by frying it Try frying half flour and half butter stirring it for a while it it bubbling . Keep stirring to cook the flour so it does not burn . Half a stick of butter and that much flour about in a frying pan . Fry abou 3 minutes at least i think . I never timed it but it takes time but not long . Keep stirring the melted butter and flour . dont burn it brown. It gets thicker and drys a bit . Then you dump in the water and stir it so it foams up high and then drops down . It will be thickened all at once like magic . No lumps because you fried the flour first . That little bit of butter flour makes a lot . 1 or 2 cups I'd guess . If its too thick add more water little at a time Ready for cheese flavor to be stirred into it Dont make too much . Maybe practice with ¼ stick of butter and same amount flour. It should not be a dry dough like this showed . It should bubble and keep stirring when cooking the flour and butter . It saves tons of time and no lumps . You can put the hot cooked butter flour broth into a hot pot of broth or bullion instead of water and cheese .. or milk and cheese .⁷

Thats where i go wrong im too trigger happy with the milk. Mine always comes out grain like which i think could be uncooked flour??
sameee , ive even tried 1 pot mac (you cook mac in milk) and i still get really grainy mac n cheese...
How are you going to keep it for longer and avoid solidifying? Also how to fix already solidified cheese sauce? Thanks
