Oh boy is there ever a rabbit hole?! These guys are so good and they have a big catalog of songs to choose from. They also have guest singers that they invite in to sing with them and they always mesh their voices so well with their guest singer. I can't wait to see more VoicePlay with y'all.😊
Adding a rap verse to this song was a nice historical touch. Vikings did a thing called “ Flyting” that shares many characteristics to a modern day rap battle. In the Viking era it was “poetry set to rhythm” that taunted your opponent and built your own forces up. What is that if not modern rap?
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I've watched y'all for a while, but today you really made my day reacting to my favorite acapella group!! Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole! Y'all are in for a treat!
These guys can do just about anything! They've got great songs from Disney to Broadway to rock, metal and Vikings. You guys definitely have to hear their cover of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters!" It's downright amazing! ❤
You're an Elvis fan - Geoff (bass singer) did a cover of Elvis' song, Way Down -on his personal channel. It gives you a closer look at his amazing talent - and humor. Voice Play usually layers things in...J None (the guy who rapped) is featured here; he's a former member who left to join the navy (to sing) and returns on leave & does videos with them. This video starts with J separated from the group, then he bursts into the hall and assumes his place with the rest of them. (The creaking door noises, btw, were also done by Layne, the beat-boxer.) Anyway, to me that was a bit of visual poetry as J rejoined them - standing together - for this performance.
Some more VoicePlay to blow you away: Queen in Five Minutes, Hoist the Colours, Carry On Wayward Son, My Mother Told Me, and Nothing Else Matters (for starters!)
Btw... Welcome to the Voiceplay rabbit hole. I subscribed because I'm a huge Voiceplay fan. Only ones I watch reactions for.... Voiceplay, Geoff and Pattycake Productions (owned by Layne and former member Tony Wakim).
The done lots covers my first was The Oogie Boogie song from a movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. They had a few members that was in the group Tony and Earl. I also like their ACA Top 10 . I love their Disney songs and another Viking one they did was My Mother Told Me which was on the tv series Vikings.
Geoff also does his own videos. I see that you reacted in the past to both "Sixteen Tons" and "Shenandoah" sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Those are two songs that Geoff has covered and in addition to singing lower than Mr. Ford, he also 'multiplies' himself into four Geoffs to sing harmony with himself. Well worth checking out, "Sixteen Tons" hit 10 million views at the end of last year and "Shenandoah" is beautiful, that's one Geoff did for his wife, Kathy, who also serves as the production manager for both his and VoicePlay's videos.
Their most intense video to date. Fierce or what? A capella with a difference. A capella means without instruments. There is no doubt some computer enhancement post production, as with all studio produced music today, but the voices are all them.
I subscribed to your channel a year ago when you reacted to their cover of Daddy Sang Bass and I've been waiting to get back to them. They did Metallica's Nothing Else Matters and Golden Hour. They have a ton of music. Geoff Castellucci, the bass, started doing solo work during the pandemic when live shows and tours were cancelled. Would love to see you react to him as well. His two more recent are Sound of Silence and Man of Constant Sorrow. Can't wait for your next reaction to Voiceplay and Geoff.
There is most definitely a rabbit hole that is acapella. A few other groups to check out for sure is Home Free, Pentatonix, and The Bass Gang. Welcome to the crazy world of acapella
Valhalla is a place ancient warriors such as Vikings were said to go. They would go after death in a battle. I like Voice Play. Of course I am a Home Fry.
The original artists were impressed too. Its high praise when the author likes you take on their work. Speaking of, Paul Simon (of Simon & Garfunkel, and the author of the iconic song) says the Disturbed version of 'The Sound Of Silence' is his favorite cover of the song.
Where do I start? "My Mother Told Me" is connected to this song. The little mermaid is another one. A serious song that I respect them for is "Brothers In Arms" Anyone of their songs is a rabbit hole worth going down. They made some funny, serious and amazing songs covers. Geoff Castellucci (bass) has his own channel and songs My favorite song cover of his is "Sixteen Tons" and "Misty Mountain Cold" This song here was the first time I heard rap in "Valhalla Calling". Normally you would hear the bass more dominate but they make it work. I love "Oogie Boogie" with them. This rabbit hole is years long for they are talented.
Welcome to the rabbit hole!!! I knew you were going to love this song and video!! They out do themselves every time! I cannot stop watching this, it is amazing!! That first B0 Geoff hits lasts for 15 seconds!! Then Eli has become the Asgardian god of rock, Layne is a beatboxing god, Cesar has become a Berserker, and J None has shown us the rap indeed belongs in acapella! Great reaction!
Welcome. Voiceplay has been around and evolved for aa long time. Not new to the music scene. They are the whole package: composing, engineering lighting - the works. No label. During "COVID" they switched from touring and concentrated on their video work and Valhalla is just one example. Explore ALL their music and watch the transformation. We call them "theater kids" for the type of performance video or stage show.
Do fall down that rabbit hole. VPs fans will be there to catch you! VoicePlay has done over 800 videos and Geoff the bass, has done close to 50. He started that when covid ended the touring and he wanted to do something. I have yet to hear or see a bad video from either VoicePlay or Geoff. You will see a member change over the years since they have been doing this since high school about 25 yrs ago. Geoff and Layne (beatboxer) are the remaining original members. Eli (rhymes with jelly) joined 13 yrs ago. Cesar came on in summer of 2021. J None was a member until he was recruited by the US Navy for 5 yrs, 2 of which are done. He comes back on leave and has done some videos (Friends on the Other Side, Nothing Else Matters, and Valhalla Calling as well as some minis or shorts). You should hear VoicePlay do Tennessee Whiskey.
Not sure if it will be streamed live or at a later date, but VoicePlay is going to perform 3 Chicago songs with some members of Chicago in mid November. They are doing "Wishing You Were Here", "Look Away" and "If You Leave Me Now". Omar Cardona will be with them. I love VoicePlay and I love Chicago. Also performing with Chicago is Chris Daughtry, Robin Thicke, Steve Vai and 2 or 3 other people.
Everybody else probably said it better than me but welcome to the voice play rabbit hole.. At this point Their repertoire of music is extensive. The 2023 releases they have definitely up the game and that's saying something Seeing as they were already phenomenal. You gotta check out nothing else matters (a Metallica cover) in my room (a beach boys cover) golden hour (not sure where that song is from but I loved what they dud with it). And the base geoff castellucci does his own solo stuff. Gorgeous arrangements
Welcome to the rabbit hole. You are in for a treat. There are too many great videos to recommend just one. I strongly suggest you checkout their catalog and their bass, Geoff Castellucci's solo channel and find ones that appeal to you. You can't go wrong
Rabbit hole... Acapella.... Most of the big names all appeared on the television show The Sing Off. By big names: Pentatonix, Home Free, and VoicePlay. The three mentioned were on Seasons 3 and 4, but arguably great talent hidden besides them. Nota, Committed, The Beelzebubs, and more. I'd start there and come to the more recent, well, I guess you just did the most recent Acapella that I know of.
Welcome to the rabbit warren that is voice play Geoff (Jeff ) is their bass, Eli (pronounced Ellie) is the bald "Rock god" Cesear is the Sassy youngster and newest member and last but by no means less is their "beatboxer" Layne ...J none ( the rapper) is a former/ future member who is currently serving in the navy and he rejoins from time to time... These guys are one of the "Pillars" of Acapella alongside Homefree, and Pentatonix and have a vast variety of acapella covers you will enjoy :)
Thank you so much for another priceless reaction to Voice Play. Please do a reaction video to Voice Plays cover " Dream On " originally by Aerosmith. Also Carry On Wayward Son. Voice Play knocks them out of the ball park. Aerosmith
The original was done by Miracle of Sound. He does music based off of video games and tv shows. This song was based off of Assassin's Creed. The original was great. The duet with Peyton Parrish was also good.
You should really check out some more of Voiceplay's covers! Check out their cover of the boy bands they did. Also check out Geoff Castellucci's (the bass singer) solo work. You will definitely not be disappointed! BTW, I love watching the two of you and your reactions. Y'all are awesome!!!
I always enjoyed your reactions, please check out a group named "Berywam" I suggest you their "Eminem medley", "oriental mix, absolutely insane, "feeling good", " Asia beatbox championship" and also MB14 la cup worlwide showcase 2018, how to say, UNREAL.Btw, new subscriber from Martinique
This was voiceplay, not miracle of sound. I very rarely say this about a voiceplay performance, but in this case you should check out the version sung by Miracle Of Sound.
You REALLY need to listen to Peyton Parish doing this one. So much more powerful. Please please please!!!! Also react please to Savage Daughter by Anahata! Amazing woman power song.
No hate but I almost didn't click on this video because I was searching for voiceplay reactions and you didn't put voiceplay in the title! Next time please include the artist's name even if it is a cover artist.
This version of the song sucks. A man, who wears a ticket to vallaha patch n knows the methodology. Better versions, more primitive are out there. Kinda like lyrical God. More famous, more it sucked.
You've only begun the Voiceplay and Geoff rabbit hole.
They have no idea. Once you start you keep going
@@rapodejko y’a exactly 😂
Oh boy is there ever a rabbit hole?!

In the Viking era it was “poetry set to rhythm” that taunted your opponent and built your own forces up.
What is that if not modern rap?
Oh there's about 10 years of rabbit hole here! For a tone 180 try I Can't Make You Love Me.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I've watched y'all for a while, but today you really made my day reacting to my favorite acapella group!! Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole! Y'all are in for a treat!

These guys are the best. Great rabbit hole.
Exactly! No auto tune! Oh, such a rabbit hole. Them together and the bass, Geoff Castellucci, who has his own channel. Thank you for your reaction!
I'm a huge VoicePlay fan and watching your faces watching/hearing them for the first time is great. Enjoy the rabbit hole. It is truly remarkable.
They are an a cappella group like Pentatonix and Home Free. Just like those groups, VoicePlay competed on the Sing Off.
Welcome to the Voice Play / Geoff Castellucci club. You've entered a very cool section of music. ❤❤❤❤
Shawn and Mel a very enjoyable and energize, reaction.

Visual poetry indeed. It was perfect!

Btw... Welcome to the Voiceplay rabbit hole.
I subscribed because I'm a huge Voiceplay fan. Only ones I watch reactions for.... Voiceplay, Geoff and Pattycake Productions (owned by Layne and former member Tony Wakim).
Watch how they approached metal with Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. It's special.
Makes you want to sharpen your ax, run out the longships and go raiding.
I’m glad you now know how awesome they are
The group is called Voiceplay and Geoff Castilluchi is the man with the bass. You should look into this group.
Dude, I already love Miracle of Sound's songs so much. This cover of it is amazingly well done.
OK! LETS GO...ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.👊👊☝️☝️✨🤓

Once you follow the Voice Play rabbit hole to acapella wonderland you won't wanna leave.
Thank you for a terrific reaction.
Welcome to voiceplay! They make amazing songs, you really can't go wrong with anything they put out! 💜
I found Voiceplay after Pentatonix and I love BOTH groups! This is one of my favorites of Voiceplay. Love love LOVE it!
Valhalla is a place ancient warriors such as Vikings were said to go. They would go after death in a battle.
I like Voice Play. Of course I am a Home Fry.

Brother In Arms was done by Home Free.
@@marshayoung9387 sorry I wasn't thinking may they and everyone forgive me for that. Never make a reply when you had been drinking.
I highly recommend you try Home Free. They are also highly talented.
They friends with Voiceplay as well.

subscribed to observe the rabbit hole. Also the bass has his own damn channel, def. check out that one too
You're going to have so much fun! There's no such thing as a bad VoicePlay song, so enjoy exploring their channel.

The rabbit hole is deep with them, and Homefree. Check out Ain't Going Down from Homefree.
❤❤❤ XO XO love it!!
❤ I loved it!
You should really check out some more of Voiceplay's covers! Check out their cover of the boy bands they did. Also check out Geoff Castellucci's (the bass singer) solo work. You will definitely not be disappointed! BTW, I love watching the two of you and your reactions. Y'all are awesome!!!
Ooh, big rabbit hole. Lol
If you enjoyed this you should check out their version of Nothing Else Matters
They make some good Vikings. Welcome brothers!
I knew you'd like the bass in the group because you loved his solo song Misty Mountains Cold. Geoff can sing all registers but his bass is the best.
This song makes me want to pound my chest and go fight the villains! 😂❤️
Check out Hoist the Colours!
Right when this video started I went “oh look Elvis, wait is that the beegees”😂
Voiceplay are the theater kids of a capellan music
Fantastic reaction 😊 I’ve subscribed to see more VoicePlay reactions please 😊 xx
Thanks for subbing!
The rap is a cover original, but if you want to hear more from Miracle of Sound, you'll get some great songs.
Can't wait until you check out them covering "Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" and Geoff covering "The Sound of Silence"...💯🔥
✌🏼🫶🏻🤗
❤️ 🥰❤️ S and M HIT SQUAD IS THE BEST!!! ❤️🥰❤️

Turn your boat around, don’t mess with the Vikings
This was voiceplay, not miracle of sound. I very rarely say this about a voiceplay performance, but in this case you should check out the version sung by Miracle Of Sound.
You REALLY need to listen to Peyton Parish doing this one. So much more powerful. Please please please!!!! Also react please to Savage Daughter by Anahata! Amazing woman power song.
Vahalla viking god...
Check out Toby Keith crash here tonight or Eminem Mockingbird. Both excellent song's
A bit of Viking there?
You should listen to voice play dragon born comes
All voices no instruments
I would suggest reacting to the original Payton parish And the miracle of sounds version of Valhalla calling. To hear the real power of that song.
Why have you guys not reacted to any of linkin parks newly released songs?
I'm sorry, i love you two, but how did you get the spot out of the chair where your lady was sitting?
No hate but I almost didn't click on this video because I was searching for voiceplay reactions and you didn't put voiceplay in the title! Next time please include the artist's name even if it is a cover artist.
The hell (valhalla) call you bloody Vikings .
????? Wrong Version!!!!
Eh…listen to the real Miracle of Sound version. This one is like Backstreet Boys pretending to be Vikings.
This gay version is killing my herat
This version of the song sucks. A man, who wears a ticket to vallaha patch n knows the methodology. Better versions, more primitive are out there. Kinda like lyrical God. More famous, more it sucked.
To each their own people but I don’t want to hear this unless I’m at a renaissance Faire. 👎
Badabing badabong😂
