Don't know what I enjoy more, the finished short or the reality documentary. Very meta to get the making-of video wrapped around the release of the short. You're hitting just the right level with the tech talk, and you're managing to be natural and story-driven in the docus while avoiding the contrived feeling of so many reality shows.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
@Rayden Yousef Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Maybe it's crazy, but I'd like to see a video documenting like 1 or 2 hours of shoot without cuts, so we can really see how problems are solved and work is going forward

+RocketJump Film School Yeah, I'd like to see the "boring" stuff, too, because that's the exciting part for me. :)
Such gold here. I've worked with producers and directors who basically insist I do the OPPOSITE of what this video says, and the results were horrific.
+HaloUnion Yikes. So do they just stir up unnecessary drama? Personally I think there's enough stress during film making you could make an HBO drama with it!
Hi! I'm working on a documentary right now and hopefully this gets answered; when you are shooting and you only have one camera to work with, how do you decide who to focus on if you have multiple subjects or people who speak?
Hey RJFS, I'm about to make my first short at 15 and was wondering if there are any tips on beginning. Also, can you make some videos showing easy stabilization techniques?
That first episode was great. Lots of insight. Thanks for making something that awesome. I just hope that the international version won't be too expensive, so I can watch it legit :P
Dear Rocket Jump Film School, I cnt find an episode on actual cameras. Maybe i'm just lokking correctly but I'm getting into action shorts and fil making and I don't know if I should use a go pro camcorder or dslr. IF you don't have one please do a comparing episode on cheap cameras.
I'm planning on filming a documentary soon. It was said that getting interviews done before hand is helpful to guide your storyline and direction. But I can't really get them until after. Is it best to just film as much as I can during the main shoot or try and focus on a storyline that I think would work best?
So..... They're making a BTS show about a BTS show? It's Film-Ception! Well, actually, isn't learning how to make good BTS something a film school should teach?
@@yourpaljosh It's really not. Especially if you're planning on joining the industry for this and want to immerse your audiences. It may be for reality, but it really helps for fictional stuff too

Thank you so much you really help me out :D
@Casey Ronald you are welcome xD

+Albert Moon A behind-the-scenes of the behind-the-scenes
I didn't expect for every cameraman to be so involved in the story and everything. Pretty neat!

Hi! I'm working on a documentary right now and hopefully this gets answered; when you are shooting and you only have one camera to work with, how do you decide who to focus on if you have multiple subjects or people who speak?
I'd like to see something in-depth or more in-depth on props and/or prop management for productions larger than backyard shoots.
the show is awesome
Really enjoyed this video and learned a lot. Did you guys make the post production video mentioned at the end? I looked around but couldn't find it...
Awesome ! thank you very much !
Any chance of you posting the New Fronts footage? I know you said it wouldn't fit in any episode, but it'd be cool to see the presentation.
Congratulations for 345000 subscribers

So did you ever come out with a behind the scenes of this video? This is so meta I can’t handle it.
I would like to see a video about camera rigs that the RocketJump crew is using.
