So happy I found you I've dabbled in slow stitching which i find very relaxing. I'd love to be able to attempt different style of stitches but in my own style. Xx
Welcome on board Kelly, so happy you’re here ❤️
Thank you. I'm following you're Facebook group too I need to crack on and get started such beautiful work ❤
I was needing a stitching project for relaxation, and this is it. I had a fabric book I’d made on another project just sitting doing nothing, and tho it’s 2 pages shorter it seems the perfect time to use it. I was extra chuffed when you said you’d probably have a couple of pages spare. Anyway I thought I could tip in some extra pages if they were needed. Thank you for starting this fun project.
Glad you are joining in - your fabric book sounds perfect - happy stitching 💛😊🌼
Thank you for sharing this. I’m excited to see how this progresses.
Thanks so much Mary 😊🌼💛
Lovely project to watch and stitch with,Sally, thank you! The running stitch looks so effective! Your 'written' doilies are wonderful ❤❤❤

Thanks so much Joan, I hope you enjoy it as we progress through the stitches 😊💛🌼
Such a great easy intro to slowstitching Sally, this well be of interest to so many starting from the very beginning. ❤
Thanks so much Kerri 💛😊🌼
Hello, how are you doing? I am new to slow stitching but I am having a wonderful go at it. I am from the junk journal community so the three hole pamphlet stitch had me smiling because that is the one stitch that I do know lol.
I have gone to my local thrift store and picked up a few pieces of fabric and pillow cases of different colors and I am now ready to slow stitch.
I purchased a sewing kit off of Amazon not knowing what needles I needed and when the kit arrived it was for sewing upholstery. There are a few different sizes so hopefully I will be able to make them work but if not then back to the drawing board for needles🙂💜.
Thanks so much - I’m glad you’re finding the video useful. I was slightly concerned about going straight in with the pamphlet stitch, but it was quite a simple one. It’s a shame about the needles, but we crafters are nothing if not resourceful, so hopefully you’ll find one that you can use. I look forward to hearing how you get on. 😊💛🌼
Hello Sally, I have really enjoyed this video and have subscribed because I want to learn more and just know your channel will be good for me. I'm going to look around the house to see if I can make my book and if I need anything else or any help with it I'll ask my brother William to help. I am recovering from a stroke and am now ready to have a go at something like this. Thank you so much for such a well paced and thorough tutorial. I especially love your gorgeous vintage doyleys that you stitched so beautifully with the definition of slowstitching, at the beginning of the video. These caught my eye immediately and I was hooked! I do believe I was meant to see your video today! Happy New year Sally. I'm going to phone my sister Sally to tell her about my new hobby for 2025. Love Vera in Northern Ireland ❤
Hello Vera, I’m so please you have found my channel. I find slow stitching such a relaxing pastime. I wish you well with your recovery and look forward to hearing how you get on with the project. Happy new year to your too - best wishes Sally x
Such a lovely, mindful project. 💖💖💖
Thanks so much Deb 😊💛🌼
I really appreciate this as a beginner so thank you! I received the Journal with Thread for Christmas so this is a great introduction to the stitches so I'm less likely to ruin the Jessie Chorley book when I begin that.
Thanks so much Debra, I have the Jessie book too and am still working my way through it at the moment ❤️❤️❤️
I've been waiting for this video Sally. Going to do my first page. It's abit like boro stitching. Great texture with all the running stitches. I love your stitched words of your idea of slow stitching, etc on the vintage tray cloths, beautiful.
I've started mine on blue fabric with blue variegated thread. I can't stop stitching, lol. So relaxing.
Thanks so much Sandra, your fabric and thread choice sounds gorgeous 💙💙💙
Love this, looking forward to joining and stitching with you
Thanks so much Katherine 💛😊🌼
Thank you Sally. I love your stitched doilies - what a creative presentation tool!! We don’t find many doilies like these where I live in Canada
Thanks so much Kate, I’ve had the doilies for a while and they were just being stored in a cupboard so I thought I’d use them for this project 😊🌼💛
So right!! Very hard to find cute doilies etc in Canada...
brilliant
Thanks so much Teresa 😊🌼💛
Thanks for bringing this project together.
Thanks so much Carrol 😊💛🌼
Looking forward to joining in on the fun of slow stitching ❤ xx
Thanks so much Gillian 😊💛🌼
Dear Sally,
I have prepped my 8 fabric pages. Lovely easy start with your embroidered doilies showing us what is needed.
Something I am keen to keen to learn is how to write and stitch words. It looks so effective and adds another dimension to the finished piece. You may have that in mind to show us.
Rosemary❤
Hello Rosemary, I’m so glad you’re enjoying the project, I will definitely be including a ‘words & writing’ section at a later date. I look forward to hearing how you get on 😊🌼💛
Great work Sally on this first video in this series - I loved having your company while taming my fabric scrap stash! Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thanks Christine, I enjoyed watching your fabric organising video last night ❤️
Mind mapping beautiful.
Thanks so much Stacey ❤️
