@WildWestExtravaganza "caught up with the brothers round about noon" The smoothest rap lyrics drop on an old west video the world has ever seen. Nicely played, my friend, Nicely played.....
Gotta be honest, I imagined you with a handlebar mustache and a pointy goatee. Keep up the amazing work, Josh. You are one of, if not the best, voices on the internet. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to your stories and thought, "Damn, that is a crazy historical anecdote." Only to hear you say, "And none of that was true." Gets me every time and I love it.
Can’t even put into words how excited I am for more videos!! Love the content and how much effort goes into it. Also, really enjoy the face cam, really adds to the storytelling vibe.
As a kid in Valentine (TX), there was a story about Tom Ketchum, and a couple of his cronies, robbing the General Store in Valentine (1896, I believe). The robbers were discovered, a gunfight ensued, and a Deputy was killed. The same MO was used...it was late evening, and they were invited to bed down in the store...and robbed the place as gesture of gratitude. Two prominent ranchers (John Z. Means & John Evans), passed a couple of strangers on the road to Fort Davis, who pulled revolvers on them. This fellow got around. Excellent story.
Hell yes! Been waiting for a new episode !! Love this channel! Also, please please please do a whole episode about the sheep and cattle wars in the western states, that would be so awesome ! Thanks again Josh !
This man makes history exciting. I remember when I was in school I had a few teachers like that they were able to make history. Exciting. People like that is very rare nowadays
What do you say to the comments that say this is not you, but instead the narrative is spoken by Danny Mcbride. Lol...conspiracy runs rampant everywhere!😁
The building behind Tom at the hanging in Clayton still stands by the courthouse in Clayton. It is currently used by the Sheriffs department for an office. Tom is buried at the local cemetery in Clayton.
Your question about Tom being taken to Trinidad, Colorado after his arrest may have a simple answer. Folsom, NM is just a few miles from the Colorado border, and about halfway between Clayton and Trinidad. If the train was heading west and Tom needed medical attention, Trinidad would have been the obvious destination. @@WildWestExtravaganza
It's strange but I always imagined a small Asian lady in her mid 60'5, possibly Korean. I have never been good at faces to voices. Nice to see you Josh, great show.
Yooooo! To just drop a face reveal after all this time and just not even mention it. What a G. A handsome G at that. Thankyou so much for all the hard work brother you are absolutely the best at what you do its not even up for debate. Take care 🤙
Dear mr bloody beaver I really appreciate the content that you provide! For my taste, it is a perfect blend of story telling, history lesson, and humor! I am delighted to put a face to the voice and personality. Thank you so much!
Glad to see the new format. Wish you lots of success. Been following you for 3 to 5 years now. It’s better when you roll your rrrrrr.s for extravaganza. Looking forward to more adventures.😎👍🤘🙏🇺🇸
You should do an episode on the Dumas Brothel in Butte MT. Longest running house in the history of the US. Amazing stories of women in the old west and up to the 1980's (I know you don't cover recent history but still fascinating). I was lucky enough to spend the summer of '99 (or was '98) trying to save the beauty. Best summer of my life so far.
A good read dealing with Black Jack Christian and the high fives gang is last of the old time outlaws about George Musgrave one of the high fives gang. Really good read
I've been listening to and watching you for a few months now and love the stories you tell. You have a really calm voice and eloquently tell the story absolutely interesting and incredible background to the people who you are speaking about . Makes listening so much better and draws you in so deep you feel like you are there in the moment living the life that they were. Absolutely awesome and intriguing . All the way from Guisborough UK 🇬🇧
Good to finally see ya Josh ! Buddy I don’t even want to hear Wild West unless you’re tellin it ! You are my go to for a good listen while sharpening up my chainsaws for another days work.
Me too he definitely looks different than what I imagined. Unfortunately, it appears he's not literally ripped from one of those old black and white westerns but we can pretend he is and just not talk about it 😂
I've been watching your videos, both new and old, for a couple of years, laughing at your humour. That said, I had an entirely different idea of what you looked like! I am not sure what I was thinking but it wasn't a retired football player with a buzz cut.
Great episode as always Josh, I cant help but wonder when you talked about Black Jack Ketchum hitting himself in the head with a pistol what all problems a modern day psychiatrist would diagnose him with. Keep up the great work.
Hello Josh!!! Great to finally see your face. You’re the absolute best at what you do! By far! Good things heading your way my man. Keep up the great work!
Great to see you! Your format and channel are evolving! McCartys have been overrepresented in early American crime, the other being Henry McCarty. Happy New Year and congratulations on the excellent new format.- Mojave John.
Growing up in and still a resident of San Angelo, we always heard rumors about hidden money. As kids, we searched often. Thanks for the great entertainment!
You put a face to the voice, nice to meet you Josh, been listening for awhile, thanks for all the research and time you put into these video's, they are good, and i like how you try to give the truth, and not the myths and rumors. G-d bless you and the little one.
Great video. It's also amazing to realize that Black Jack (or "Mr BJ" as he liked to be called) was the inspiration for Pokemon and the famous catchphrase "Gotta Ketchum all!".
Another edge of my seat extravaganza to start the New Year off with a bang, (or in Black Jack’s case a thud. A sickening wet thud.) Excellent work once again!
Your crew here in the Oregon State Mental Institution in Salem all appreciate your presentation. Charlie Cheswick is telling everybody you're his son after seeing your face. I don't see it but he's also a little off.
Hell yeah! A face to put with the voice. Your voice is excellent for story telling. It would be great narrating western, mountain men, cowboy and Indian and many other movie, miniseries documentaries and everything else in-between. Civil War, World Wars. It's just a perfect voice for that type of thing
Let’s talk about robbing trains…
Where was he buried? We have Ketchum Oklahoma here on grand lake
I live in a place with a train bridge that could rival Back To The Future 3. My choice is obvious.
@@WildWestExtravaganza you ever herd of Orin Porter Rockwell and the Danites? Brigham young’s personal bodie guard. The angle of death!
I ain't gonna lie I thought you'd be a black dude but jokes aside it's nice to see the face behind these great videos
