Great recordings of history there. My ex-girlfriend would enjoy this, as she drove locomotives at them stations (apart from Liverpool st.) in the late 80's/early 90's!
Film came in three minute reels so you had to very selective with what you took. Also the film ASA was low, so it was really only benificial to film on a sunny day. 😊
What a little Gem of a film.
Very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.. 😎👍
It's always nice to see Merchant Navy and WC / BB classes in action!
I know I spotted 34037, 35022 and 35026 in my earlier days, plus 73087 Linette
Loved it thanks 😊.

Ah, the wonderful smell from Gasworks Tunnel when you stood on York Road platform!
Looks like this was shot on Standard 8mm film. Given the tiny image size this has this is a remarkable film. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
That's correct it was shot on standard 8mm. Luckily it is still in pretty good condition considering its age.
Happy memories 😀
Good film, there were no stability on cameras then, and sound film was very expensive, so was colour film, so we'll done. 😁
A fantastic time, when stations had real character, and trains smelt and sounded like trains...
Don't forget Liverpool Street (comes immediately after Kings Cross !

Excellent, but from 1.11 the 'Kings Cross' footage is Liverpool Street.
Thanks for your comment. This footage shot and edited by my father could include other London stations apart from the obvious ones.
Certainly is! Cracking BTH type 1 on pilot duties
Yes It was a bit confusing!. That's not KX I thought! Nice to see old Liverpool Street.
Great vid sound track rubbish
