Wow, that's a hefty sum. I've been retired for three years now, and I'm only 46, thankfully i met a friend Katherine c boone, she offers excellent investment plans.
I used to have the same “philosophy” as you, thinking that aiming for an early “retirement” is going to be the holy grail or that this freedom will bring me the happiness I seek. In fact , I realize now that boxing yourself up in this path only deprives the potential and experiences of your growth both in life and in experiences. Why do you need to retire at 26?
@@AaronSurvivinginSingapore there’s a lot you don’t experience in life if you limit the paths ahead due to financial constraint. Bank earnings have been elevated the past few years due to the higher interest rate environment, which would affects the dividends they pay out. Interest rates will eventually go down, and with that the profitability of these banks, so there is really no guarantee that dividend yields will continue to increase, nor is there a guarantee that their stocks will see continued capital appreciation.
Yup of course it may not happen and im not gonna retire based on increasing DPU. I assume it stays constant to be safe. But historically, dpu and capital has been increasing :)
Doing an active side hustle and living overseas in a cheap country doesn’t really work, at least with the example given. It would be difficult to charge $100 per photography hour when you live in Indonesia.
Thank you for your video, Aaron. I'm curious, will you be buying a house/apartment at some point since everybody needs shelter sooner or later? What's your plan for shelter so that it doesn't affect your retirement plan?
curious, if you are earning relatively high salary as a recent grad under 3-4 years work experience, why do you want to break the momentum and "retire at 29"? Also what about annual travel trips say to japan or vietnam (say 1-2), those cost money too
From one Aaron to another, i greatly admire your maturity at your age. I've similar mindset where I'm frugal (max $2.90 cai fan / simple 'wants' if any). I'm mid 30s so perhaps I would like to also share something I did not really take seriously in my 20s to consider. Unforseen events eg terminal illness / accidents. Do keep in mind these may happen to anyone at anytime and seriously derail our plans. Humble 2 cents: Compound your wealth for a bit longer while you can so you've more buffer to tackle such unforseen circumstances 😊 You're at a very early stage but way ahead of others. Meantime, keep accumulating more dividend generating income assets!! (I see us as Thanos, collecting all these Infinity Stones/Shares 😂)
Thanks aaron :) haha that's y we have insurance for that. Yeah i could plan for more buffer but knowing myself, ill probably still spend less than planned haha

How is that possible, because the approved retirement age is 65 here in the US
Katherine C Boone? I've heard of her. I just did a little research and found her. I'm planning to schedule a call with her soon."
Nice and informative video, but could you share more about how do you project the dividend per share growth of the bank stocks?
i dont project!! i calculate based on last years(or the latest) dividends
@@AaronSurvivinginSingapore In the event of economic recession, there might be a possibility of the reduction of dividend yields.
