- This beautiful piece of dance comes under Pallavi in Odissi Dance. It showcases body gestures in the form of pure dance. The dance is choreographed by Padma Vibhushan Swargata Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra in tripata tala and taught by Padma Shri Guru Kumkum Mohanty. The dance is performed by Tulika Tripathy on the gracious occation of "Guru Sanjukta Panigrahi Mahotsav" organized by "Smitalay" headed by Guru Jhelum Paranjape.

What is the raga of Mohana pallavi?
Usually, the Pallavis are named after the ragas, and so here, the raga is mohanaa. Raga Mohanaa in odissi classical music is the equivalent of Raag Bhupali of Hindustani classical music. However some Pallavis exist which have names which aren't the names of the ragas they are in. For example, the yugmadwanda pallavi (originally composed by Pt. Raghunath Panigrahi) is in Raga Baageshree.
