On this episode we have part 1 of the story of Colton Burpo, who said at the age of 3 he died and visited heaven. There is a good chance this name sounds familiar as his story was a New York Times Best Seller and sold over 10 million copies world wide. The book was also adapted into the movie, Heaven is For Real.
In this episode, Colton talks about the songs the angels sang to him, his encounter with Jesus, meeting family who had died, and seeing Armageddon. Jeremy asks the questions that are in most people's minds.

I am a Chinese studied in Omaha, Nebraska before. I wasn’t a Christian but I had some Christian friends. One of the couple named Jan and Verne. Before I left Omaha, they gave me a book call The Heaven is for Real. And if I didn’t remember wrong, I remember that the lady said this is a true story of her cousin/ sister’s son? (I don’t remember the details) when I listened to it, I was shocked but I didn’t believe in the story cause I wasn’t a Christian that time. Years later, I became a Christian and it reminds me of the book and the memories in the States. When I heard the name Nebraska, I felt warm inside. Thank God for the salvation. When I looked back, I can see how God built/ prepared me to become a believer.
I've experienced a 20 year miracle with daily Bible devotions, where I read a perfect, exact Word + discussion, in daily devotions, immediately after praying about very specific topics. I struggled with faith 20 years ago, with a horrible thought of wondering if Jesus might just be a myth, like Santa. I prayed for help & the daily devotion reading for the day was 2 Peter 1:16-19, perfectly relieving my fear, as the ONLY passage in the WHOLE Bible, that directly, explicitly states Jesus is NOT a myth & that "you will do well to follow, as to a lamp shining in a dark place." So I have also seen proof of Jesus. I pray you are strong in faith forever. Blessings.

I was abused by father and had a very high fever seen heaven at age 11 I was flowing above beautiful flowers 🌹 all around me I felt safe I didn't want to go back 😭 but the sweet of the fragrance in heaven the smell was a beautiful healing for me I broke the fever 😊

Shes with you everyday whether you feel her or not....they guide us until it's time to join them. I was given undeniable proof my grandmom was with me on the daily after I admitted feeling like shes just GONE and being depressed about that. BOY WAS I WRONG and in her own way that's truly "her" she showed me....and the main message was...."say your prayers...never stop"

I did met Jesus at 2 year old. I was meningitis I was near death experience. I visited to the heaven. So I was sit on his leg. He knows I love flowers. He showed me the garden. He's sweet and love and a beautiful smile. Jesus told me " you don't know me you will understand when you getting older". I met him 4 time and dream about him. I was painting Jesus and giant God. God is love. I accept Jesus in my heart instead Christian. Jesus and God love people, children and me. I miss giant God, Jesus, the family but God and Jesus are part of our family too. God is dad and Jesus is brother to me and all of us. Bec God is creative me and people past and continue to from the heaven. Oh. Add I was protect Jesus. I kick demons when I was out of body experience in the another world. And our team and I were kick demons. It's important protect Jesus. God does fight with demons. God kick demons. I was alive when the Holy Spirit came through me. I never believed until I was corrected. I learned LOVE and would often say to others that God is LOVE. I had a dream years ago. I was in a place that was beautiful, green fields. I was happy, so much so that i begged that no more be shown to me, because i could not take it in. My cup was running over. I love Jesus.
Colton don't ever let anyone put you off telling your story. I know you went to heaven, because I went to heaven too! I didn't have the time up there that you had, but I was there. It was not a near-death experience - it was just an experience where my soul left my body and I was up there with Jesus - for about 10 seconds! Then I re-entered my body, which was in my bed. Being up there was more real than being down here! I am not called to share my experience beyond my keyboard, but you are! keep on encouraging others! You are an AMAZING man of God. I smile each time I see you witness because the Holy Spirit living with me prompts me to smile! I can't even control it!
Did Jesus look like how Colton saw him?
Anna, I didn’t went to heaven but I had a vision many many years back and it’s definitely real. I was sick for a few days due to over worked and one day I saw this vision of me rising to another place to start my real life. The reason I say real or actual life is because that is what the vision told me and make me feel..I lifted, and then I look back at earth and saw my parents and siblings crying because I’m leaving, but miraculously, their feelings doesn’t matter to me and I was so happy and excited to start my actual life. It’s not a new life but it’s actual life. The vision told me that earth is only a temporary place and the body I had on earth is only a vessel for me there. I wish I can share to more people what I’ve seen but I’m not Colton. But if anyone wanted to hear I’m glad to keep sharing.

Your story floored me. Thanks dad for the book. I got to tell u, how much I appreciate it. Thru out the story u kept asking Colton if Jesus looked like any of the pictures u showed him, all answers were no,until the end. Before I had even heard about your story this picture was one I had blown up out of this book I ordered from books a million. I had read about this little girl with this won
derful gift and became hopefully concerned that Jesus was speaking to us thru her gifts. Colton confirmed that for me.
He shined his shiekinah love shined on me his light filled me up an he love of god completed me, then I saw Jesus then the lion of god and had to come back to my suffering body in heaven…I didn’t want to leave. It did build my salvation. I walk with him daily. And listen for him.

Colton, your experience with Jesus and having seen heaven touched my heart so much, I am still buying copies of Heaven's fer real and giving them to neighbors etc. Since reading it back in around when the movie came out I've been praying for you over the years and God has often put you on my heart. You are so precious! It's just such a blessing for me to see you today on u-tube. You haven't changed, although a little older, still precious with your childlike faith. Thankyou Jesus for saving Colton and I know He will keep you close to Him and protect you. I am sure you are such a blessing to the children you work with and I'm sure you will be a blessing from Jesus to many many more people!

I just wanted to leave a comment to say that the book Heaven is for Real played a critical role in my coming to Christ (I did not grow up Christian at all and had almost zero exposure to Christianity, so it was a long road through a lot of deception to get to the Truth). Interestingly, the detail about Queen in the book made me really think Colton was telling the truth (you can't makes something like that up; plus, I know from my own walk with the Lord, He's made it very clear that most music is very, very ungodly). The apostle Paul says he completed the scriptures (Colossians 1:25-26) so any other message from God would be extra-biblical revelation and out of order with God's inspired written word. Paul warned in Col. 2:18: " Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind," This warning is for Colton and all those that claim they are more special to God than the rest of us (puffed up) believing their own imagination, dreams, and perhaps even demonic deception (which indicates that they are not saved). God wrote us a Book; isn't that enough for you?
This is the reason Colton share what he shares. He was commission yo seek you and people like you that God has chosen to hear and receive this message and taste the goodness of God. Keep sharing your testimony sister. Rejoice that you've received the message God sent your way, when others have despised this young guy. Keep Colton in prayer that he will continue to share it boldly, as people oppose it to stop others like yourself for hearing it.

@@dfkuz Hi Deborah, do you think or do you know he is making stuff up? Why do you think/know that? What gives Colton away? What flaw in his character gives him away as "someone seeking their own glory, and not the glory of Him who sent Him"? Is it something he said, a bad look he gave...?
Trust me I believe if you really had that much attention (and hate) telling that story and it wasn't true just the pressure from it would give you away. People would find you out sooner or later, and he's spoken these things since he was a kid, and people I know have had animosity towards him because of this message.
I wonder how you or I would do being a liar and continuing to share with such humility for the sake of getting our own attention. We'd break super quick. People and christians break over simple mean things people say. What do you think about this? I'd like to get to know you more i think you are really awesome and i think it's good you try to look for truth.
@@armandoarevalo3108 I've worked with kids most of my life starting at age 11 and I'm very aware of how their minds work. I can imagine this scene: Colton wakes up from surgery and says, "Daddy, I think I saw Jesus!" (I once saw my surgeon floating on a white cloud in the bluest sky ever during one of my surgeries!) Daddy, who's a pastor becomes very excited and wants to hear more. (Maybe a book deal was already forming in his mind.) Daddy presses for more information and being a pastor's kid helped Colton to describe a few things he imagines are up in heaven, maybe with Daddy kind of leading him on with questions: "Did you see angels? Did they sing?" It's a very natural thing for kids to make up stories based on things they've seen on TV (Veggie Tales for example). I had a little boy tell me he went ice fishing with his dad and uncle and their dog fell in the hole. When he saw my horrified reaction, he added, "And then a polar bear came along!" Kids have even been known to start believing their own stories and will not listen to reason. I feel sorry for Colton because he was like a witness that was led by his attorney. Kids love being the center of attention of grown ups! I know you're going to bring up the question of how would he know about his miscarried sibling! Ever hear the old adage, "Little pitchers have big ears?" When I was a kid, I remember eavesdropping on lots of adult conversations and it's how I learned a lot of secrets I wasn't supposed to hear. I wouldn't care about what Colton says he saw if I heard him or his dad tell the right gospel of simple belief in Christ and what he has done for us. How could someone see Jesus in Person and still spout a gospel of works, "Love Jesus; follow Jesus"? If that's what they believe the gospel is, what a waste of time for Colton to see a heaven he'll never enter unless he puts his faith in what Christ did, not what he does!

So amazing God allowed him to have an experience like that in our time to share with us. Interesting one of the first things he talked about was the final battle. I honestly believe we are living in the end times
My nephew stopped breathing and was rush to the hospital, when he started breathing again? A few days later, he saw a picture of my dad my brother never told him about & my nephew seen my dad picture? He looked up and said thats grandpa and I saw him. My dad been gone since 2006. My brother never talked about R dad to him.
Before I was born, my father had a near death experience and saw hell. He left his body and descended through a dark tunnel, into a holding area full of deep darkness, then he was revived and came back to his body.
This led him to accept Christ a few years later.
I love how Colton now speaks about his Heaven experience so matter of fact as a 22 year old. My dad speaks about it very matter of fact too.
No idea why God allows these things to happen, but there are powerful testimonies all around us.
I've heard many preachers say God gives people a final chance AFTER they die. This could be what happened to your father. So just remember, atheists who want to see proof, they will see when they die. They will most likely choose LIFE. But who would choose death?
@@phoenixstormjr.1018 Yes, I agree to a certain extent. I think that God works in ways in the spiritual realm that we can't even fathom. He is always drawing us to Himself while we are on this Earth. However if someone sets their heart against God, they are in great danger.

Colton has been deceived by the devil and I will explain why.
When you are someone who possesses the Holy Spirit and who understands how to test the Spirits and who is truly living by the guidance of the Holy Spirit then you are now someone who can communicate directly with the Lord. Jesus will now gladly answer all of your questions and He will guide you in every decision that you need to make in this life. You will truly understand just how real and loving God actually is and you certainly will realize just how lost, wicked and evil this world definitely is. You will know without a doubt what awaits you in your eternal life so you would love nothing more then for the Lord to take you away from this evil world right this very minute. This explains myself since I would love nothing more then to hear the Lord tell me that my work is now done and to start getting my things in order since I am now departing this life. This is how it is when you truly have a relationship with the Lord. Now having related that truth allow me to explain something that very very few people truly understand.
Realize that if you were truly living by the Holy Spirit then it would be impossible for you to sin since you would now be guided by the Spirit of God who is Holy and pure and who cannot sin. Since you can no longer sin then it would be impossible for you to ever get sick since scripture relates that sickness only comes from sin and the devil. To prove my point here is just one scripture that relates how it is possible to stop sinning and that it is that brings sickness into our lives.
“But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
John 5:13-14 NKJV
Jesus would have never instructed the man that He had healed to sin no more if it were impossible for the man to stop sinning. This scripture is also revealing that it was the man’s sin that brought the afflictions into his life and this is why Jesus warned him that if he did not stop sinning then a worse affliction could come upon him. In Deuteronomy 28 God related His blessings for those who would obey Him and the curses that will occur on anyone who chooses to live in sin and disobedience. Sickness is definitely listed as a curse and it clearly reveals that you are a sinner who lacks knowledge of scripture since you are disobeying God.
“If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE Lord YOUR GOD, then the LORD will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues-great and prolonged plagues-and serious and prolonged sicknesses. Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the LORD bring upon you until you are destroyed.”
Deuteronomy 28:58-61 NKJV
One day while reading John 11 about the death of Lazarus a thought popped into my head about those in scripture who were raised from the dead. Clearly anyone who dies from a sickness or tragedy is someone who was disobeying God and living in sin. So I asked myself if you are someone like myself who is saved and who is destined for an eternity with the Lord then why would you ever want to be raised from the dead and have to return to this life in this fallen and corrupted world? I would absolutely hate having to return this fallen and wicked world even for a minute. So I went to Jesus and I started asking Him about Lazarus, Dorcas and the others in scripture who were raised from the dead. I asked if any of them were saved the first time that they had died and Jesus told me that none of them were, not even Lazarus. I then asked if any of them ended up being saved after they were raised from the dead. Jesus then related that none of them were saved even after being raised from the dead. This surprised me at first but when I took a moment and really thought about it then it actually started making perfect sense.
Realize that God is the same always and His word never changes and as I related in my last video He shows no partiality nor favoritism. So why would God give certain unsaved people a second chance for eternal salvation? That certainly would not align with His truth and that would also mean that He is choosing favorites and He would also be a liar. So realize that anyone who was raised from the dead in scripture was someone who was not saved nor would they ever be saved. They were raised from the dead simply because of the faith and the belief of the person who loved them and who was missing them and it was done out of compassion to ease their suffering.
So I then asked Jesus about these near death experiences that some people have or where people are relating how they had died and had gotten a glimpse of heaven. I asked if He does such a thing and the answer was no and He would never allow it to occur. Why! Again really think about it. If you knew that you had now reached a place where you would live your eternal life with the Lord and you would never have to suffer ever again, would you be happy to have to return to this evil fallen world? Of course not and you would be a fool to even desire to. Second, anyone who has ever had a near death experience clearly is someone who is living in sin and they certainly were not following the will of God for their life. Scripture clearly relates how God only hears the prayers of the righteous and a righteous person is someone who no longer sins.
“Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.”

“For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.””

“The LORD is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.”

So anyone who is relating a near death experience is simply someone who is deceived in their beliefs and they are being played by the devil who is a fallen angel and who can appear as an angel of light. In other words the devil can appear as Jesus or Mary to a soul who is deceived since they have no idea what they truly looked like. To them of course it seems completely real and that is why they are not making it up. But it certainly is not God or heaven that they are relating and they are being deceived by the devil simply because of their sin and their ignorance of God and His truth.

After watching the movie and lessening to several interviews, what Colton experienced is what is referred to as an "OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE".

Loved the movie. I'm always skeptical about things like this, but I believe Colton. I laughed so hard when he asked the angels if they could sing we will rock you. For some reason, it added a genuiness to his testimony. Anywho, God bless him.

I, also, had a number of interesting experiences in regards to dreams and a few visions. In one dream, I knew I was in the "heavens" and heard a heavenly choir sing a new song. I can't tell you much about the song, because when I woke up from the dream, I promptly forgot how it went. In another dream, I saw and somewhat experienced the marriage supper of the lamb.
I've been there. Too. Several times. Much healing. Open my eyes and I'm here! I'm either laughing or crying or feel really surprised. He said you can come and go anytime you want. The veil has been rent. 🙂

I had a word from God. He said that there is no subset of the Body of Believers. That means that no matter whatever else we believe, all who are Saved are part of the body of believers.
I was previously told by God to NOT HATE THE LOST. So, I've been trying to follow that for about a deacde now. Love to all who see this too.

I do understand the time thing. When I had my car accident at 14, I'm 57 now, I remember the hit. The moment the drunk driver hit us on the side then time stopped, but for me not for everyone outside like the witnesses that saw what happened. I figured it was at least 10 minutes when God spoke to me and ask me to call out His name, and that was at least three times before I screamed out His name. I remember holding the right side if my head with my arm and hearing the glass brake as God spoke to me. I was like in a twirl tunnel but I was still sitting in the car. And after everything happened the people that saw the accident were saying, it happened fast like 3 seconds. But for me it was more 10 to 15 minutes. Time totally stopped for me in the car but only 3 seconds went by. So yes I understand Colton as he explains his experience.
I believe you, God stopped time for me in 2001, and it scared my inner man, fright, and got me attention, a day later I had an encounter in ambulance overdosing on drugs/alcohol and was on fire,.being puahed thru my gurney, and a transparent evil face was laughing at me, until i kept scremaung to Jesus " I BELIEVE!!!," and He saved me...don't care if no one believes me, what I needed to find Jesus

We can see God in the Spirit
And live. The flesh can not enter yet in heaven because our bodies are not glorified as Jesus is yet.

I had a dream about all the kids entering into heaven in bubbles. 😂 you could see their legs sticking out of the different sized bubbles acording to their own ages and sizes..they would come in from the clouds and float over and above a sparkly stream..so cute, it made me feel better for all the kids who pass on early ❤ 😇

I remember reading Heaven is for real when I was a younger Christian and believed his testimony because of my own experiences and knew people without these supernatural experiences are skeptics towards such things. God does know what He is doing through these things. People don’t believe my experiences also. That’s ok, it’s never really about us but God Himself anyway. God Bless as you remain faithful with what God has shared with you.

Drugs and alcohol never appealed to me - ever.
That is a matter of just saying no to the substances and to peer pressure.
It doesn't take maturity to do that, just common sense.
He doesn't even know the Holy Bible very well.
There are too many things he said that are contrary to the Holy Bible.
Also, Colton either intentionally side-steped answering direct questions by giving "word salads" that went way off subject, or his mind just wanders.

When I was younger, 15, 16, 17. I was very close at least I felt very close to jesus, to God. Used to go to church all the time. Never missed a service. Loved praising and singing to him. Loved it. I'm older now, but I miss it all. His holy spirit, the fellowship with the saints . Miss it all so much. I still love him. Always will. Always.

It’s so good to reminisce the good times but please know that You are always welcome in His presence. He is extremely encouraging and inviting. Life is hard enough, You can do it from His side, just as He is at the Father’s side, and from that place there is greater provision, protection, wisdom, love, & comfort. However great a relationship You want with Him here and now is up to You. You don’t have to wait til You get to heaven. ❤️
I saw a miracle when I prayed for guidance about which church to attend, in more than one way. It was stunning & clear guidance. Just seek to be led by the Holy Spirit in life, & persist & be patient, & He will show you what to do & answer prayers for guidance.

I have been to heaven more than 10 times and the Lord blessed me to have me watch this young man's movie and come to realize it's ok to talk about these kinds of things. God takes our inner man so our outter man as a shell stays here on earth but the inner man can travel plus you have all your senses as well. I will be diligent to tell more people. I have also been to hell because Jesus took me.

So I kind of want to add my two cents about whether or not believe that you can go to heaven in a near-death experience or not. I feel like we take the Bible so literally that we don't leave room for God to do is work. I am always reminded of what Jesus said to the scribes and Pharisees that they focused on the letter of the law versus the intent or the spirit of the law. I think in many areas of religion and spirituality we really need to follow God with our heart and understand we don't know everything about everything

The people who can't see that this is possible are scared. I did die and I don't remember heaven but the Lord spoke to me and visited me. I have understanding that I never had before.
Colton talks slowly but there’s a depth within his talk I could feel. Colton, I believe every word you describe what you saw in heaven and what you bury in your heart that you couldn't reveal cause of others' attitude. No matter what happened, you respect what you saw and also should respect your own affection towards God's creations you saw in heaven. Heaven is real and beautiful, also are you. In God's eye.

I don't have a clue how what he said could have brought anyone to Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior.
He talked more about himself and his miscarried sister, his sister Cassy and his Pop more than he spoke about Jesus Christ and had no message about sin, forgiveness of sin nor how to get saved.

He is lying through his teeth and has been for the last 20 years since this supposedly happened. I think his dad is the one who got him started on it,quite possibly having heard the story about the boy who came back from heaven,which I think that supposedly happened a little bit before Colton Burpo's alleged trip to heaven and he has brainwashed his son into believing that he visited heaven and decided he would write a book in the process and make money. Lots of money. Colton recounting all these things that all of a sudden a 4 year old boy is allowed to not only see but also to tell the whole world,and his money hungry parents to write about for the whole world to hear as opposed to what the Bible doesn't tell us,what the people like the Apostle Paul and Stephen and John as he was being inspired to write the Book of Revelation,all having written in God's Word,his final Word to us,only what he permitted them to write and reveal to us. Not to mention the Bible itself is all the information we need to know that heaven is real. Now we have guys like this character who was given a so called tour and instructed to go back and tell his folks about it so they can write a book telling about it all since apparently now the Bible itself is not efficient enough for believers to know. We just have to have further proof. Plus the things that he describes that he saw,doesn't seem to be the things that you would find in the presence of a holy and perfect God. And goes against some of the biblical accounts that we read about in the Bible. Plus his story and descriptions of Heaven contradicts what other people who supposedly saw heaven in modern times have to say about it too. So um,no. As anyone shouldn't I do not buy into one word of this story at all. If anything is being said contradictory to God's Word and in a manner that suggests that God's Word is not sufficient enough to believe in itself,do not fall into the web of deception that Satan is using these people to try to get you caught in.
He keeps saying I spent all this time with Jesus and not once does he give any example of the smallest interaction while he spends all this time with him I'm pretty sure after hearing how much time he spent with him the very next thing people want to hear is what kind of things did you do together talk about ..anything

This is the best. It's the best because Colton relays how he's dealt with the heaven experience in his NOW walk with Jesus. How might we have done -- probably would have gone through some of the same feelings. He's still had to figure out what this means for his daily walk, and we, hearing his testimony, can put ourselves in his shoes and understand that while we might not have had his experience, we are still walking out our faith like he is. We know what he experienced aligns with our own faith (most of us), and most of all, our HOPE.

@Kevin Belgrove God has many names. Jesus is 1 of them. I use a lot of them. I accepted Jesus Son of God as my Lord and savior. Therefore I'm saved and going to heaven. John 3:16 says it all. God said it I believe it that settles it.

@@SammyWinFL Hi Sammy I'd like to leave this here. Paul said "even now out knowledge is incomplete and we only see part of the revelation". God I know is way bigger than scripture shows: this is what I mean, yes scripture says God loves us and gave His life for us and to rejoice. When you read that do you really rejoice as people do in heaven, like with that intensity?
Later we will know all things. But what was it that is unbiblical? Holy Spirit will usually show me stuff that people think is unbiblical but it's there and it's so simple you'd have to be a really arrogant person to not see it, most do.
