Thanks for the sharing, really helpful. I'm currently a postdoc in biomedicine field and I'm very interested in 3D design. I'd like to learn from you and hope I can do my own project one day.

Are there any copyright issues using a crystal structure from PDB, but that you render using Pymol/blender etc?

As far as I am aware all pdb structures are public domain. But you can read all the details here: www.rcsb.org/pages/usage-policy

Great video! Really helpful info :)
Question: In the first image (Cell Journal) of the protein engineering, how did you create the effect of the green "dust particles" appearing to fall (referring to the blurrines and the unfocused trail of the falling green dust)?

Very cool video, thank you. Maybe the larger journals also prefer dark covers since the color black is often associated with "high end" "premium" etc. This is often used in marketing. One can easily spot it in the supermarket, premium brands often have dark packaging.

The artwork at 12:00 is absolutely stunning... was all of that vegetation created in blender?? I can't get my head around how you pulled that off. I love the overall concept too

      Thank you :)
Yes, that was all done in Blender.
