    Why you’re welcome. I’m a 60 year old gardener and sewist from Texas. I’ve redone a house but I’ll likely never even be on a Dutch barge, much less redo one. But I do enjoy your quiet place and watching you work. I would imagine it’s very encouraging throwing something out there on you tube and find people actually watch it. Not surprised as you’re engaging and extremely knowledgeable. Please keep them coming. I’m sure I’m not the only one that would enjoy seeing more of you just out and about, cooking, whatever. And I’d love to hear your story.

    Thank you for all of your hard work. Your videos are much better than what I’ve seen on television, both fictional and what I wish was fictional. And for that I am grateful.❤

    Thank you Beth. You are good people! You are talented and brave. I am so glad that @CaniceBrannon shared shared the info about your channel. I am also grateful that you did not attend his father’s safety class, aka not safe, and that you take precautions when using power tools 🤣😂😅 Take care Beth, hope you get a chance, at least for a couple of hours, to relax. Thank you! 🙏😊🤗 Kathy

    Thanks for your kind words, you are correct about finding a peaceful video to keep us from focusing on the daily world drama. It is relaxing to watch paint dry.. especially yours, lol. It certainly is a lot of work on your part, but your project is inspirational. It is a good blend of creativity and truly good skills.
    Looking forward to follow your journey.
    I hope your channel keeps on growing, soon, you will need to find a spot for the TH-cam plaque. Take care.

    Just have to say that you are one remarkable young lady, and for what you have accomplished from start to finish. I'm super glad that I can understand you, as a few of your country men with narrow boats speak in a language my ears aren't used to. It warms my heart to see that you have not compromised yourself, and that money did not put your dream to a lesser self. Your portholes and the equipment you have shown are top notch. Building a boat is like giving birth and you never want to wish your baby is not perfect. Congratulations, some requests, are you putting in a bow thruster? If so why not when it was in the yard. I imagine the bilges in the rest of the boat will be done when your living space is finished. One more thing I have watched 80 % of your videos and am not able to orient my self around your home port, as to directions and to your amenities and parking lot. Plus length and beam of boat, hull speed and horsepower. I know plenty of men that started big boat jobs that they abended, you are remarkable.👍👍👍👍👍👍997

      Thank you so much for your kind comments, it's really appreciated! Yes, the plan was to install a bow thruster when I was in the yard although we actually ran out of time (plus money) so I decided not to do it then. I'm glad about that really because the way we were going to do it would have compromised the hull slightly and spoiled some of the original features and since then I've seen a much better system so I might install a bow thruster at a later date, although I can still manoeuvre the boat ok without one so who knows. My home port is on the tidal Thames in London and the boat is 20m or 21.8m with the bowsprit long and around 4.2m wide. The engine is a 200HP DAF.
      Thanks for your support! 🙏🏻

    I know exactly what you mean about the tablesaw. I had a few scary experiences using my chainsaw, and so now it is collecting dust. Tree limbs don't bother me as much as losing my limbs.

    Oh my gosh!! The progress Beth! I THINK I’ve been with you on your whole journey so far. You are such a calm presence in the face of occasional life chaos. On another 🎶, I know you’re a musician and from one musician to another….the SAWS terrify me! I was watching how far away you keep your fingers. Genius though, to make the boards lighter that way. Congratulations on 1k subscribers!🎉

    Hi Beth
    I have a roller blind cover under my houdini hatch which has a mosquito net and a black out blind that pull from opposite directions. Maybe you could use one of these instead of a piece of perspex. Assume you can buy them from chandlers

    • @TillerQueen
      @TillerQueen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that's a really good idea and I'm going to fit a mosquito blind for summer when I take the internal hatch out as the perspex will only be there for winter for warmth.
