Got both Flash & Returns. Got a 2nd Returns coming to customize the flash cowl & cape. Love having options for display. Skipped 89 but they are redoing it soon with a whole new figure. Body & likeness look so much better.
Sweet, so glad they are redoing it cos if they do a good job I'll definitely buy it again. Hmmmm should I get a second 🤔 ...would be nice to be able to display them differently or maybe even a mod. I'll definitely have to think about that now
The Mezco 1/6 scale heads actually fit the McFarlane perfectly with a slight modification- I bought a loose head online and put it on my McFarlane '89 Batman that came with the Batmobile (Gold Edition) and it looks great! Even though the Mezco is 6" and the McFarlane is 7", the head works- videos online of people who have done it. The Mezco heads are some of the best Keaton likenesses ever, but the figure has some issues so instead of paying $100 for figure I paid $100 for the McFarlane set and a Mezco head, and got a Batmobile out of it too!
@@ramsesosirus oh nice , yea the mezco head does look a bit big on the mezco body so yea I can see it fitting the mcfarlane body too...hmm I wonder how that head would fit on the neca 89 body. I kinda want to try the mod onto the mcfarlane body too but the old in me would feel like the mezco batman is no longer complete hehe. I'll have to think about that one a bit more
@@toys210 I think the Mezco Batman is a cool figure on its own, but I think it comes with multiple heads, you could use one of those on the McFarlane- or, people part them out and sell individual heads online. I just had to heat/remove the stock one, grind down the shoulders a bit, and I used a ferrous/magnetic screw down into the body for the Mezco magnet to stick to. And added a leather cape while I was at it (just a piece of an old leather jacket)
@@toys210 Great vid man! They are remaking the 89 batman plus Val Kilmer and even George Clooney Batman. There was a vid on youtube briefly showing the prototypes. =)
I actually purchased the 92 from Walmart for $60 shipped and sold by beast Kingdom and this was right after watching your video review but now it does show sold out

@@tylermitchell5765 true, that's one thing I don't like about that cowl, those pointy bits should lay flat over the body. That head sculpt tho, is definitely the best of them all so I can overlook the sticking out pointy bits.
@@toys210 I have OCD with stuff like that. I remember when the Batmobile hot wheels car came out in 89. I had a giant bat emblem on top of it. Drove me absolutely insane.
@@tylermitchell5765 lol yea, I think we all got a bit of ocd in all of us. What drives me crazy is the paint chip on the nose lol and any abnormalities on the forehead, face and chest, those I find extremely annoying
@@Mr767267 is because the movie design pointy bits were glued down to the cape and I guess the toy designers just didn't know how to mold them angle down instead of straight out maybe. Yea is very strange having them pointing straight out like that and not have them contoured to the body.
The proportions are all wrong, nothing like Keaton's body, but that 92 looks really good. I remember your 89 review of this fig and that fig is worse than I remember oof.
The crotches all looks weird to me 😅. I get what they were going for with the panties. Trying to hide those very obvious hip joints. But the result isn't great. But I don't like the ones without the panties either since the gaps are huge so he looks like a manikin. They all look pretty cool from the waist up though. I definitely like the 92 headsculpt the most I think. 89 is definitely the weakest. Annoyingly I feel like you could probably bash a perfect one using bits of all of them
Yea with batman is always hard to do cos is straight up a one piece suit so no real way to hide anything and the original suit is rubber so you can't really change it to cloth to cover everything either. Shf joints would be nicer in my opinion. Personally not big on rubber panties on fig either. So kinda doomed to begin with lol

My 89 Batman came with 3 head sculpts,one with eyes that move and one with battle damage and my head sculpts are held on by a magnet not peg
The base it’s not from the modern suit, is from the 89 version.

The 1992 wins. I’m looking at the cowl on Flash and it points out. I don’t know how you would want that. I mean it straight sticks out.

They're going to release an '89 2.0
They're doing away with the fabric material on the suit. Which they should have done since the begining.
Yea I can't wait, hopefully the head sculpt would be amazing too. Something at the same level as the modern suit sculpt would be perfect
What's the issue with Flash Keaton cowl...even the SHF one sits floating the same way...I hope that was not the movie design?

@@toys210 you can see on BBTS...89 beast Kingdom batman has a redone cowl mold...I don't know how it will look though as they are 3d renders.
