My father instilled in me the 1/2 tank paranoia. I ran out of gas once with my baby boy, so after that, never again. I get to half a tank, and it's..time to top off.
It’s also bad for the fuel pump to run it empty like that not to mention if there’s an emergency you don’t want to have to be stopping for gas. With two small kids he should be thinking ahead. lol

As they have mentioned before, Jon wakes up very early every morning and works before the rest of the family wakes up. So I don’t think it’s strange at all to have a nap during the day.
