Mountainside BarnBuild Ep 18 | Sheathing, Lifting First Wall with Gin Pole (and Nailer Review)

It's been a long process, and we've learned a lot about building our off-grid barn, Airbnb and future home. The day finally came when we raised our first wall! I'd tried to justify getting a crane, telehandler or something to help, but the cost is just too much for our homestead. So I build (2) a gin pole for the process. It worked like a charm. We'll have to make a few adjustments to the lift for the rest of the walls based on some things we learned, but the wall is in place and has already survived a pretty good storm.

If you think that nailgun takes a lot of reloading you should try my compact pasload. Only holds one pack of paper 30 degree nails. Made for remodeling but seems to get into all the difficult spots much easier.
