The old Morry Minor was actually a very effective car on windy roads. There are stories of people holding off some very exotic sports cars, especially on downhill sections

@Paladin24987 Milka never finished at Le Mans, and as for her class wins in the ALMS (not LMES) in one she was the only entry in class, there were two entries at Portland, all three entries dnf'd in Monterrey (her car won completing 48 laps to the overall winners 120) and was the last car runnigna t Petit Le Mans. Her wins in Grand Am featured her driving to the first caution then handing over to the much quicker driver. In some races she was out of the car within 5 laps.
Broadly speaking, this comments respondents are showing their lack of age. Mercedes of the 50's, Jaguar d types and c types, Bentley blower, Aston Martin DBR1 and co, there is a huge raft pf contenders that out beauty the group c and + cars. However , I guess they all have something for someone, somewhere.
radicalsquare Milka's problem wasn't that she wasn't very intelligent. She just didn't have what it takes to race like Danica Patrick, Simona DeSilvestro, Janet Guthrie, and Lyn St. James. Whenever she raced in the ICS, she raced always like a rookie, not a veteran. ICS even called her on it because she couldn't keep up to the pace of what the Indy cars could handle and when people lapped her she always was in their way. Regardless of her success in other motorsports, Milka wasn't crazy and daring enough to race at 225 mph. That's where the hate is coming from. Even Danica who some here will have issues with (every time I turn around there's always a hater) gave Milka a piece of her mind when Milka didn't give Danica room to pass her and drove dangerously.
I've never seen so many people running around on a race track. And it's wet, that's so ridiculous. Every time a car spun or crashed there were dozens of people hopping over the rails onto the track. 0:20 and 6:37 I mean what the actual fuck do they think they're doing.
A lot of them appear to be risking their lives for no good reason at all. 7:16 There's like 30 people on the track just standing around watching 4 or 5 people work. Why would that many people be required to be standing on the race track? I've never seen that in any other series.
The track is 13.6km long, they drive really slowly and they have radio so nothing wrong here. The 1st endurance race at Le Mans took place in 1923... So yes, they know what they're doing.
The logo in the upper right corner alone brings back so many memories. Remember when they showed the IOMTT-races live including crashes and everything? Safety standards, you mean drivers actually paying more attention to WTF is going on on the track. The marshalls are not the problem here, IF drivers drive to the conditions taking into account that there are marshalls on the track then there is ZERO problem with safety. You're another that fails to understand why human beings take more risks after so called 'safety' aids and procedures are put in place.
Dude, it's a clear and obvious improvement these days where marshalls don't enter the track under these conditions just to push a car out of the gravel. This is how a marshall was badly injured by Brundle's car at Suzuka way back when. Obviously the rain is coming down hard, people are getting caught out on slicks, all it takes is one slight aquaplane and you have a marshall getting sandwiched between the two cars off track. Also, why you heff to be mad?
Dudes... standards? Improvements? To this day in F1 and pretty much everything else other than U.S racing marshalls are out on the track protected by nothing more than a 'local' yellow flag. It's insanity. Look at what happened to Jules Bianchi in the Japanese GP of 2014. That was under yellow.
He was driving at racing speed under a double waved yellow....... and we know what the outcome was. Slow down and be prepared to stop is what a double waved yellow means, now if drivers would actually do that then there is no reason why a marshal can not be on the track at the same time. Unfortunately drivers seem to think it means have a gentle lift of the throttle and only lose a couple of tenths.
