It’s important to note (still watching) that if your kick does not have much of a tail you will have a really hard time getting it to anything above -7 lufs. The clipper will kind of break the transient to a point where the sound perceived isn’t sustained long enough to reach where the clipper does its job best- the low end. This is really important for genres like halftime and hip hop that dictate how you design the rest of your sounds. Small drums big bass- big bass small drums as an example
@@Alckemy yeah, but for the most part, the punch won't sustain the mix, unless u would be going for an empty break with an offbeat bass that would be the tail
@ there’s not really a point in talking about a hypothetical mix and what would work. In order for there to be a mix you need at least two elements. Context is always king. I get where you’re coming from, but my guideline of checklists really only whether the transient is good or not. Everything after that is genre or style specific. And even then, there’s an argument to use garbage drums as an aesthetic. It’s just about knowing what you’re doing to the signal and being able to shape it in a way that suits you
love it! i would love to see a tutorial about difrent types of punches. how do you go about achieving those difrent characters. most tutorials focus on those tonal punches and some on pvc now adays. can never find a tutorial about those more gated spoontech kicks
great video ✌🏼 for some next videos i would love to see something more about screeches like: how to build some from scratch with sylenth / serum or how to make some unique one's out of sample based screeches and especially how to use them in some right way's

No problem getting that, but who needs the punch to be that high with othe elements playing at the same time
@ depends on your genre. You have to look at the artistic side of it too

You know how to design a basic punch with a synth, serum for instance? Then play around with different filters, eq and distortion
If u have a kick, u can use that. Just play with your shit a bit, but not only distortion and eq's , add effects as well
great video ✌🏼

I would also love to see in indept tutorial about this!

Make the next vid a simple tutorial how to make a simple rawstyle melodie with only stock fl plugin would be very sick if you can do it im curious
En trouwens grappig dat je uit leunen komt bij venray wist ik helemaal niet. woon er een dropje verderop ook gemeentje venray
Is Bob ook weer👷♂
What about how to make a classic hardstyle kick from 2010/2012. For a next tutorial? Never get them nice and roling.
2010-2012. Use assymetric distortion, eq's, sometimes a slight compression and effects
that background track ruins everything...
Not sure if this should be legit advice or just trolling - at least it sounds horrible.
