    Exactly what I’m looking (listening?) for: Louder than stock in an original VW part, with the added bonus of a much cooler rear diffuser.

    omg that sounds amazing. i was considering doing this to my MK8 GTI but was a tad skeptical with it being an official VW part and it potentially not being much different than the non clubsport GTI. but WOW this is a huge difference. This video just sealed the deal for me. Thank you!

    Sounds great. I'm thinking this should be my setup when I decide to upgrade.

      It’s definitely one to consider! It’s affordable, maintains warranty, and definitely improves sound

    Sounds good. I was looking at some catbacks but I’d rather not be obnoxiously loud as it’s a 4 banger at the end of the day. This seems like the sweet spot

    Hey Jonathan, this sounds great! I've been thinking of getting the CS muffler for my Mk8 but I just had some quick questions. I also have warranty, and I've been curious if this would void anything because you would essentially need to cut the original muffler and then put on the CS muffler with a coupler right (also did you do this yourself or take it to a shop)? Also, has there been any drones/dash lights pop up after the exhaust change?

      Hey! I haven't had any issues warranty wise. Theres a VW part number on there and no one has said anything to me. I did the install myself and it was pretty easy to do. No lights on the dash! You notice the most difference when under load, so when you're on the highway and have your music going, you don't notice the exhaust. It's there when you want it and gone when you don't

      Not sure if anyone answered- your warranty will be fine. Only issue would be if anything happened with your muffler... which is very unlikely.
      VW tends to be pretty chill with mods- just don't expect the warranty to cover anything modded, which would be unreasonable to expect in the first place. My MK8 is straight piped and I've had a couple things done under warranty, and it's the 3rd GTI I've owned.

    Have a 40th anniversary coming and have been thinking about this after seeing the Deutsche Auto Parts video. Did you order from them?

      I got mine from PartsByTopher!

      @@Jonathandilego Thanks! I had no idea Topher was in the parts business. And it’s $80 cheaper.

    Any tune or stock. I mainly want some pops and it seems this adds some nice tone and pops. But also torn on just get a awe track cat back system but from what i see that does not necessarily give pops

    • @Jonathandilego
      @Jonathandilego  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The pops are factory with the MK8 GTI! The clubsport muffler has definitely amplified the pops. For OEM+, I'm impressed with the improvement in tone and pops. I think an AWE system would be louder and you may get louder pops. Just ultimately comes down to what you want at the end of the day

    How did you get that pop at start, I retrofitted too but mine doesnt sound like that at all .. :/

    • @Jonathandilego
      @Jonathandilego  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will pop on startup sometimes and other times it won’t. It’s just random

    Did you get it done yourself, or did you have a shop do it? If a shop, can you give me the name? (Also in VA)

    • @Jonathandilego
      @Jonathandilego  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did it myself! It’s pretty easy to do yourself. I would think any reputable euro shop/ exhaust show could easily get it installed though

      It was super easy! There’s a video on the ShopDAP TH-cam channel showing how to install it

    Just to confirm, all you've done to this car is change the stock muffler (back box) to a club sport one?
