Wow, well done, 29 locks in one day!! Amazing👏🏻👏🏻 I felt so sorry for you Marina by the end of the vid - what with all the coal humping, fire making, lock work - you looked absolutely shattered by evening. Good Nz morning. And why wouldn't we watch to the end. I'm loving this particular channel guys. Hey Marina, is not possible to pickup dry dead wood from any of the forests as you cruise along. Would save you heaps. And the money you save, you can shout yourselves a nice meal for 2. Anyway take care and stay safe.
Thank you lovely Bryan you are really kind! Its an interesting idea but storage is at premium on the boat and it takes 2 years for the wood to dry up. Everything is so wet around here... 💜 xx
Hi Cruising Alba... like your journey, just an idea! Years ago when I was cc, I went from Bristol to Portishead then got a pilot ( very necessary) up the Severn river to Sharpness, to connect to the Gloucester and Sharpness canal!!! Cost in 2014 .. £80.. well worth it. Saved me going all the way back.. enjoy your adventure.
So good to see Devizes, I was born and bread there. I have many childhood memories of playing along the K&A and, was involved in volunteering to help with the early work to start restoring the Caen hill locks. Thanks for a lovely video 👍
