Howdy guys! I have really enjoyed your Berlin vlogs! Years ago my grandparents were working in the resistance in Yugoslavia, unfortunately my grandad was caught by the Germans & was placed in a concentration camp & my grandma was pregnant & she fled from Yugoslavia to come to Australia. My dad didn't meet my grandad until dad was 9 years old, I couldn't imagine what my grandad & others prisoners went threw in those camps! I count my lucky stars how lucky Iam where I live, & I'm also proud of all my grandparents for what they did to save all those people who needed it the most!

I read a book by a buddhist monk who was arrested, he was locked away for 2 months. Every day he practiced walking meditation around his cell. After 6 weeks they released him as they thought he was an angel, so no harm came to him. He visited his prison once the wall fell down to help the warders come to terms with what they had done.
I have been slightly addicted to your vlogs since New Year. I learn, laugh, love, and sometimes envy. Your Berlin trip made me cry a little also and so I leave my first comment. I work for a German company in fact and always was surprised how they didn't fit my stereotyped vision of efficiency. So no surprise re Berlin airport. But as you say Mark there is a sense of ownership around the horrific events of the past and so I hope you can take that away as a memory and not the disruptive departure (or not). Thank you both for my regular fix.
Just watched Vlogmas 2018 #18 and OMG Mark the change in you is unbelievable, in every sense, you look so healthy now (you didn’t look bad then either but still). You can see your mental health and motivation is 100% better. I’m so pleased for you, you really are an inspiration. I would advise anyone struggling to have a look back. You both have done so well this year, thank you so much.

You guys experienced the level of heat I have here every summer! We're on the same latitude as Morocco! OMG Mark's statement 2 hrs before you guys were supposed to leave "let's hope there are no delays." That was a total jinx! Oh Nads I'm so sorry about your back. I'm having back probs too -- have been going to a chiropractor a few times a week for this past month and it's helped a bit. He's taken away most of my favorite exercises though (for the rest of my life!) including jumping on my little trampoline! Booo! Good lord what a way to end that trip .... that was a nightmare situation. I'll be sure not to put Berlin on my "must see" list! xx

Easy Jet are sadists, ruin good holidays without a care for their customers. I would never fly with them after our experience years ago oh and Ryanair 🤬 the only way they will learn is if people don’t use them. I’d rather pay a little extra for peace of mind. Glad your home safe.

You should take advantage of the Berlin train system. It takes you within walking distance of everything
EasyJet’s customer service is dreadful. What a way to treat people!!! Glad you managed to get home. I don’t know how you both kept your cool. Airport debacle aside, it’s been a wonderful trip. I really feel like I’ve been to Berlin now. Thanks for taking us all with you. X
That's a disgrace they way they treat people. No compassion or respect, they absolutely don't deserve any business. Their entitlement to treating people like crap will come back to haunt them one day...
I feel exactly the same about easyJet.. I flew to Tenerife with them from Manchester in 2017. Flight was cancelled.. queued for hours and hours.. finally put in a hotel... had a great holiday but lost out on a day and a half due to this happening.. THEN it was like a nightmare repeating itself flight cancelled again on the way home! So many angry passengers, children, families couples all totally pissed off!! The worst part was they told us that the cabin crew had all gone over their hours so that’s why we couldn’t fly.. there were no “staff” or pilots to fly the plane home... total shambles!!
I had a connecting train to catch to Scotland as well but I had to pay for my own hotel in Manchester when we landed the next day (flight got in at midnight) THEN to top things off the staff at the desk were rude and horrible to me.. I complained but it went no where. Easy jet declined all refunds but I seeked advice from Martin Lewis website and got all my money back from CEDR.
Horrible experience and would NEVER fly with them ever again! I sympathise with you both! Much love xx

Nadia try swimming it is one of the least stressful/intense exercises for your joints also it has such amazing benefits for your joints, stamina and heart ❤️

Just make sure you claim all that expense off easy jet. They need learn and that is the only way they can improve. That customer service is not acceptable. BA we find are far better. But many don’t sadly have the option. Berlin at least looked a fun break. And you survived to share. Thanks.

What a hysterical few days of vlogs we’ve all watched - you 2 are addictive!! Seriously its so real though, this is our real lives .... i love that youre not like , lets just say ‘some’ youtube families where’s its all polished, beautiful and plastic!! This is what we recognise and we don’t feel inadequate after watching you, we feel connected and empathetic! Love it!! OH and MARK good for you - spread the word at how appalling your treatment was by EasyJet, ppl do need to know the truth and good for you for not deleting your footage , their response is only ‘well its your fault for booking a cheap Airline’ what kind of mentality is that??.... all your subs 70k++ will also spread the word and loose women viewers - picked on the wrong ppl there didn’t they?

It’s not unusual for Berlin /Germany to get hot in summer it ranges from 35 degrees in summer to minus 10 in winter x

It’s such a shame that easy jet staff treat people like that, how dare they not let people collect their luggage for so long. I wonder that as it’s a budget airline that the people in charge decided that less staff saves costs, this then equates to poor service. They may still hope that people will travel on their airline as they are so cheap. I’m not defending them in any way, I think Mark and Nadia are doing the right thing by protesting and never travelling with them again. Glad you got home safe and hope all the other passengers did too. Well done for great vlogs xxx
Thank you for this vlog. I always enjoy them and find myself looking forward to them at the end of the day. I have always found both of you very respectful and the way you showed the Memorial was no exception. Berlin is a city that suffered under a leadership that dictated prejudice and fear as a standard to govern and live by. As a Mexican American, I find myself very heart broken today by the actions of a fellow American who killed 20 people in a Texas Walmart, he thought didn't deserve to live, based on the color of their skin. I appreciate how you've shown the old and the "new" Berlin, a city that seems to have embraced it's past and tries to embrace a better future. I'm glad this community of "subs" seems to embrace an environment of love and inclusion. Thank you for being an example of that everyday. The world would be a better place if we all did that.
Have either of you been to a concentration camp? I imagine Mark would film such camps through incredible compassion. You guys are so incredibly patient. Shocked by the treatment at the airport. You always make the best out of everything!

I feel your pain. EasyJet did exactly the same thing to me and my husband when we were coming from Rome. We had to spend a fortune to get home that night (with another airline) as I had to be back at work the next day. They were so unhelpful, no food or drink and we never got a full refund from them. However I have flown with them since and we are flying with them in a couple of weeks always makes me nervous 😬

Guys can I ask a really stupid question? Me and my hubby have just started visiting places now our family is grown up but what I want to know is when you jump into taxis in a city or a different country how do you pay the fare? Is it cash, card, do you give a tip?. I know it sounds stupid but we never know what to do so we use public transport which is a pain. Please don't laugh. Fab vlog yet again, can't wait for the camping trip now!!💗

Stasi prison makes you think about the terrible horrors that went on there, heartbreaking but well filmed. Feel sorry for you with all the stress of cancelled flights and the lack of communication you’ve had, it’s dreadful. Mark you have coped with it so well but I totally understand your annoyance Nadia, we would all be the same. Safe journey when you do get off x

There is no actual center to Berlin, which makes it an unusual city.
We lived there in the 60s and it was the most strange, but exciting place to be.
Oh what a shame to have to go through all that at the end of your break. I know how that feels as it happened to us many moons ago, also with easyJet, you would think by now after years of canceled flights they would be experts in dealing with it.. Obviously not though! Was great visiting with you guys and can't wait to go camping with you👍😂😘

The unexpected deluge of rain, and the storms were (it 'circled'), awful!
The Berlin radio stations had given warnings of flight delay and cancellations, and the situation on the roads was awful, with reports of underpasses, and parts of the motorway system being flooded!
Tegal and Schönefeld airports were both affected!
There was even an 'emergency situation' confirmed, as ambulances, police, and fire brigade were struggling to get through the flooded roads!😟

If you had gone into a shop they would have given you the number for a taxi, the meatballs are called frikadellen, My mum is German and we had them at least once a week with mashed potatoes and a German tomato salad, delicious.

MAIN airports in Germany are in Frankfurt and Munich. Berlin has only had small airport till the wall fell. STOP using war analogies please.
What nightmare flights getting cancelled reminded me when me and my mum got stuck in Prague due to ash cloud we had to bus it home that prison was sobering sad horrible for all those taken through it hell very interesting vlogg liked the art too

Easy jet saved me when Ryanair were awful in Lisbon. They left us overnight when the flight was cancelled because of an issue with fuel. No hotel or food. Budget airlines. ..buuuutt we did get to sleep on the conveyor belts. That was cool :) xx

Fab music and Nadia you had the wide eyed messy hair look back at the hotel saying crazy stuff! Love it. Sleazyjet are the pits delayed 5 hours waiting in Gatwick last year going on hols and then boarded only to sit 3 more hours on the plane before taking off!!
