I know this is a US focused video. But it's not far off message to point out that here in the UK cigarette machines starting disappearing from pubs etc, when the duty charged on cigarettes made them so expensive that it would probably have made the machines targets for thieves with the amount of cash they would have had in them.
I was in a thrift store recently and they had a 1970 TV Guide for sale. I had to explain to the cashiers what it was all about. My parents used to use Golden Fleece scouring pads. They were a light orange and very course. Maybe teflon pans did them in. Speaking as a sixty year photographer, film is coming back with a vengeance. And getting very expensive. Shades of my LP's. Still have and play my first one, "Wednesday Morning 3AM" bought in 1965 and still a damned good piece of vinyl.
3:24- Surprisingly vending machines are EXTREMELY popular in Japan with them on virtually every corner, sidewalk and even outside stores,etc.- and they dispense an incredible variety of hot, room temperature and cold foods as well as inedible essentials! So if one ever goes to Japan get your spare Yen notes, coins and credit cards ready for them!
Hate to say this, but vending machines are still all around. There are even DVD rental vending machines(Red Box). Vending machines are just as relevant as ever.
@@robertabray-enhus3198 Possibly, but there are many other vending machines still around. The office building I worked in has them. Every rest stop on the highway that I have been to has them. Vending machines are still all around.
The last sidewalk pay phone I knew of was removed last winter from my neighborhood. It wasn't a phone booth, just a small enclosure around the phone. It used to be outside a bar, which, ironically, closed years earlier. Queens, NYC

There's lots of vending machines everywhere, though they're a lot more high tech than they used to be

Vending machines are not a thing of the past. They are almost always in hospitals, some workplaces and apartments. My building has two of them.

You're not very good at distinguishing if a voice is ai or not.
