The versatility of WEi is sooo satisfying. They never fail to wow me each comeback. Too Bad just boosted my serotonin to the highest level! I'm just so glad they chose this as their title track!!
gonna give another basic rundown to remind PD of WEi members :D - Daehyeon (1997), leader & main rapper he participated in Produce 101 S2 (alongside Donghan) was a former member of Rainz and is known to produce songs - Donghan (1998), main dancer & lead vocalist you know him the most PD, participated in Produce 101 S2 and a former member of JBJ, became a soloist afterwards. - Yongha (1999), lead rapper & vocalist the long hair dude, participated in UNDER 19 (alongside Junseo) and became the leader of 1THE9. he has always been able to both rapping and singing beautifully. - Yohan (1999), center, lead rapper & vocalist obviously, the most popular member of the group, participated in Produce X 101 and became the center of X1. - Seokhwa (2000), main vocalist & fake maknae participated in YG Treasure Box, left YG and participated in Produce X 101 as an individual trainee. after the show ended, yohan persuaded him to join OUI ent. The only member that haven't officially debuted in a group before WEi. - Junseo (2001), lead dancer, vocalist & maknae participated in UNDER 19 and debuted in 1THE9. has mentioned multiple times that Seokhwa looks more like a maknae more than him so he always treats Seokhwa more as a maknae.
Also a story about Yongha that he once told on a live. He wasnt supposed to audition as a rapper, since he was training more as a vocal, but the song he auditioned with for the survival show had a rap part that he did amaizing (since he was more nervous about his vocal) and thats how he ended in rap but he for sure he is also a vocal. We love WEi our all rounders. To add during their break they did a cover and Yongha's was That's Okay and his voice is the most beautiful and comforting thing in this world, you really should listen to it.
Daehyeon, Yohan, and Yongha are the rap line of the group but definitely double as amazing vocalists! Junseo has a nice warm voice that definitely shined in this comeback, he's typically used more often in B-sides than he is in title tracks aswell as playing more of a visual role. This album is fantastic and definitely continues WEi's usual sounds and shows off their versatility.
There are 3 of them in the rap line, but all 6 of them can sing really well! the B-sides from their past albums perfectly showcased their vocals, I especially love "Winter, Flower" and "RUi"! Yongha's voice is really versatile! He brings the swag and cool vibes when he raps, but when he sings it's soft and comforting. Too Bad is a great song, easy to listen and I'm sure u'll love their B-sides from this album too! I'm already hooked on Bouquet!
i've been missing positive songs lately and here comes WEi idk listening to this song making me so happy? now i'm just enjoying the whole album as always when they comeback🥰
Thank you so much for this reaction/review. WEi has not made any missteps since debut. They’re so super talented for sure plus they’re just so enjoyable as entertainers (I mean their reality shows are hilarious without even trying). They really are all vocalists. It’s just that Daehyeon (primarily coz he’s main rapper), Yongha, and YoHan will rap also. When they did the amazing cover for BTS Spring Day (complete with sign language which Donghan created), Daehyeon did all the sub vocals (I heard JHope did the same for the original song). I hope more people get to know WEi more and actually check out their contents (we get them daily- like really) because they are really worth it.
This group brings something new every comeback. There doesn't seem to be a main concept in their group. That's the reason I waited for their song when they comeback.
seriously, im so glad you liked it 😭 wei deserves the world, it makes me happy to see people enjoying their work. i hope they get more recognition eventually, even if they don't have an established type of song, they never miss.
I think wei's charm is that they can pull off any concept and any song at this point...if you look at their discography, they are really versatile PD maybe you could do a diving deeper into wei type of video where you check out some bsides on your Patreon! I would enjoy it :)
Seokwha is just amazing! Yongha came from 1the9 where he did everything…as did Junseo. Plus, if you want to see Yongha’s singing chops, this cover of D.O. Is great: th-cam.com/video/DZ9StzfO0O0/w-d-xo.html. WEi is just so unique these days. Honestly, they can do any concept well and just has TONS of talent. They are exactly the same persona in their reality series. They get along so well and it really shows in their work. If they were with a bigger agency, they would be huge. They have said they’re not interesting in following trends, but just doing their own music…kudos to them and OUI Ent…and they have the best styling anywhere in K-pop! Their “Too Bad” album, like all their albums, have great b tracks.
Congratulations in knowing all the members. And heavens, yes! Yongha can sing and rap :)) i also love the song, mv and the group! Thank you for loving them
You were right about Yongha. The orange-ish haired member is maknae junseo and the rapper you didn't know is Daehyeon who also produces for the group. You liked one of the songs he made called "All or Nothing." WEi is similar to ONEUS in that they've said they never want to limit themselves to a sound or position, so they like to try different genres and positions within the group (rap/vocal).
If you haven’t already, I recommend checking out their debut mini album. They have some really great bsides, but that album in particular was amazing top to bottom
Your review makes me feel so happy, I'm not even the one who received the compliments but as someone who adores WEi and loving this song so much, I feel really happy! Thank you for your kind review and compliments about their voices, the music, and the video! I really hope they watch your review so that they know how good it is! I personally think Too Bad is just too good, it feels like a fresh spring breeze, the melody and their voices makes me want to smile everytime I listen to it🥰 Everyone! Please stan WEi!! ❤❤ Also, PD, since they do have album, looking forward to your full album reaction! My personal favorite is the last track, Bouquet!
4:18 PD-nim that is Daehyeon, he is the main rapper and always taking parts of composing and suches in WEi's song also on their last last cb before BYE BYE BYE he prod their Main title track 'All Or Nothing' (Prod. JANG DAE HYEON)
WEi is such an amazing group !! Visual , talented , dance and performance !! They have everything ! I really do hope they can get the love and attention they deserved !! Thank you very much !!
Haha- WEi may not be the strongest group vocally, but they have intense colors and next-level teamwork. They’re genuinely hilarious, and the leader is an extremely talented composer/producer with rhythmic sense that never fails to wow. Spread your wings, WEi 😊💪🏻😆😆😆
truly loving them as they keep putting out releases. They have shown that they can be diverse while still maintaining a sound where I know it's them right away. hoping they get more traction.
I always check out this channel's reaction when new K-pop songs are released. Your comments are realistic and useful. For 'too bad', I also think MV is fun. Overall vibe of this song makes me happy! Wei members are all rounders. They can sing and rap well.
WEi released a single 'Starry Night' last october for Universe Platform - not a comeback technically but the MV is really nice, full version is available on TH-cam now
The black haired rapper you asked about is daehyeon. He was the red haired member in all or nothing and the blue haired in bye bye bye. He is the leader and main rapper of the group and participated in producing some songs like all or nothing.
I enjoyed this music video A LOT. First watch and it’s already my favorite WEi title track. It’s so cheerful it makes me feel very happy by just listening. It even moved me to tears to watch this. They also reminded me of ONF’s Popping in one scene near the ending. Not saying it was the same, I just think they have a similar vibe. And I absolutely love it.
I'm really proud of WEi, they can pull off different concepts perfectly. You should hear the whole album, there are 6 songs and these 6 songs give individually different vibes! I also do agree that the Music Video is very fun to watch, it has the storyline which was really great and their interactions are cute. And I like how they divide the parts cause I feel this will create many interactions on stage as well!
idk if it's just me but there is something like emptional about the song and it kinda makes me feel melancholic idk 🙁i love it so much ok bye lemme finish ur vud now
Yes, it is hard to pull off this cute flowery concept for a group like them but they really did so well this comeback. I agree with you on the prechorus. Yongha did a good job on that. The other members also mentioned it was their favs as well. I hope you check out their other songs in the album. It was too good to not listen to the bsides at this point because WEi always bring the best to the plate. Thanks for the reaction!
I'm not sure how to help you associate their names to their faces so here's this: the end of the video there is the picture right? the one on the floor is yohan, is kind of the unofficial all rounder of the group but if i gotta be honest theyre all all rounders. for the other guys, left to right: kim donghan (main dancer and lead vocalist), kang seokhwa (main vocalist), yoo yongha (sub rapper and vocalist), kim junseo (maknae, lead dancer and vocalist), jang daehyeon (wei's leader and main rapper) yes they have 3 rappers but the main one is daehyeon, tho yongha and yohan also do rap!
PD if you ever decide you want to get to know WEi and their group dynamic, they have their own reality show called Oui Go Up that has 3 seasons already available on youtube!
Just like as others here have recommended, if you want to listen more of yongha’s vocals he had a cover of kyungsoo’s that’s okay and yesterday he did vocals for their cover of blackpink’s stay tgt with seokhwa, junseo and daehyeon on weekly idol. I have always loved yongha’s vocals, mainly one of the reasons why he was my one pick on u19 and I am so happy whenever he gets to showcase his vocals on wei’s songs. From the teasers I thought the cb was not for me but after watching the mv the first time I found myself humming to na na na na na na lol i enjoyed it a lot. Def looking forward on their promotion for this era
when a comeback makes you say "who's this guy" every second you know its good hehe i absolutely love how they're going down the fresh cute concept they're killing it and we're missing that in kpop rn imo
WEi totally won me over with this comeback. Amidst all the serious and dark boy group concepts going around, WEi decides to go for something so relaxing and chirpy and THE VIBE IS GOOD. They need to know they totally nailed this comeback, their music perf stages are so enjoyable. Not playing any favs but just some highlights for me this comeback - YongHa shines so much with this comeback, his singing voice is ANGELIC + his rap came in SO FRESH. Seokhwa's voice is amazing, esp that adlib at the last chorus, LOVE. Junseo needless to say, totally suit this comeback so so well. I just love it, I wished this era never ends.
Love this song! It sounds so much like a Twice title track but in a boy group version. The chorus is so well written!!! I wish people would give these underrated boy groups a chance. Like Cravity and WEi, their latest comebacks are 10/10 for me and I wasn't even a fan before.
Your right about the bubble gum .the best song on the track is know ya .personal opinion. You probably like the part with yohan because he is a exceptional dancer .check out know ya next please

Yongha come to agency as a rapper but his voice is so soft when he singing.. Yohan come to agency as an Actor but ended as All rounder ❤

tbh i just heard a couple times of WEi. But this song is so addicting. It makes me feel easy and smile dumb and happy 😎🥰
I LOVED IT MORE THAN I EXPECTEDOh my godd
Yes! Bye Bye Bye was the last comeback 9 months ago.
Junseo finally got more lines 😭❤️ plus more center for this comeback! i love this, WEi is one of my faves when fresh and bright concepts are the theme

I agree, the MV is fun to watch.
WEi released a single 'Starry Night' last october for Universe Platform - not a comeback technically but the MV is really nice, full version is available on TH-cam now
Yongha and Junseo were both in 1the9
I love that your favorite shot in the entire video, too!!! Yohan's facial expression is so great!!

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Nice
The guy with the brown hair in the end is Kim Junseo, he was in 1THE9 before WEi
The rapper you liked is Do Hyun and his hair is orange wavy, his name is Junseo and he is the maknae ☺️
Daehyeon, Yongha and Yohan are rappers, but Yongha and Yohan are vocals too. Yongha’s vocals are just heavenly
Love this song! It sounds so much like a Twice title track but in a boy group version. The chorus is so well written!!! I wish people would give these underrated boy groups a chance. Like Cravity and WEi, their latest comebacks are 10/10 for me and I wasn't even a fan before.
Thank you for your reaction. So sad that Donghan got such a little part so he barely shown in this MV. But anyway, I still like this song
WEi are having a "dark concept" comeback with "SPRAY".. Please kindly react to it.. :)
WEi & Yohan ❤🧡🧡

Hello sir...will you react to their new MV for their Japan debut mini album Youth 'Maldives' MV??
Im waiting for WEi new comeback reaction 'SPRAY'
Your right about the bubble gum .the best song on the track is know ya .personal opinion. You probably like the part with yohan because he is a exceptional dancer .check out know ya next please
"Wait wasn't this the rapper in Bye Bye Bye?"
WEi: "oH iT's NoT"
Still I like there debut song Twilight then Bye Bye 👌🏻
They're different songs but I think this and Bye Bye Bye are also kind of the same, on the lighter side of KPop, especially if compared to All or Nothing. I think the lighter KPop concepts match them really well, but I think that's also because, like you said, not many do it. So even though I think they did All or Nothing well, I feel the heavier concepts doesn't make them stand out.
