Oh the joys of low light photography, frustrating but so worth it, great video and you learn so much about your camera whether it is a video camera or SLR. Also improves your daylight shots too but editing software does help. 360 cameras give you so many more creative possibilities😀, great video Ben.

From what I learn from a street photographer in Tokyo -1ev is ideal so you can get lights nice and sharp and shadows is perfect

Thank you very much for this video and the things you covered on it. I was in London walking the streets where they have the Christmas lights in shapes of angles. Had I not seen this video I would have left it in auto and would have been so disappointed in the camera. After adjusting as you mention the video came out nice to show. It also help going to manual when I recorded the new years firework show at the London eye.
I hanging out for my RS 1 inch to get to Adelaide via Canada. I want to try it out with interval photos for Starlapses/Startrails it will be interesting to see what difference between One R and X2 ISO settings on it. Hopefully in the next couple of months I will be able to get a m8 of mine to take me to the Dark Sky Reserve in South Australia.

I have a couple of friends who have gotten the X2. I really was waiting for the reviews for the RS 1-inch 360. Yours was very good. It's not so much the extra money. But to use as an action camera, I think the X2 will work for me. And with the money I save by not buying the RS 1-inch 360. I am going to order the Go2. It looks like you can just take the Go2 anywhere with you. The X2 looks pretty thin & will fit in your pocket pretty easily. Thank you for these reviews. I know they are work to put together for us out here. 👍👍👍

I have a question (not directly on subject, sorry): with the X2 we got a neoprene sleeve and thanks to that sleeve my X2 is as new now as it was when I took it out of the box first time. With the One RS 1-inch 360 edition we only get the rubber thingy to cover the lenses when not in use, but I want a neoprene sleeve for that cam. Did you see any sleeves for the One RS 1-inch 360?

That’s a personal choice- always keep it as low as you can, but seeing your environment is more important so you need to be the judge.
I got my Insta360 RS 1 inch yesterday afternoon :) I christened it recording some of KISS's End Of The Road Tour at Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Full 360 with auto settings just to see how it would record like that. I must say i am pretty impressed with quality compared with my other 360 cameras with full auto settings . When it has finished processing i will share the link from TH-cam.

Hi Ron, I’ve never done that, but my advice would be the same as this video, just make sure you get your settings right so the shot isn’t ruined.

Hey Ben quick question do you setup 6k 30 frame or 25 frame in australia not to have light strobing at night? I know tripod shutter speed 50 or in moving is 100.
Adjust the settings depending on how the light is responding. It’s pretty easy to find what works 👍🏻

Raw is for photos, not videos.
I bought this camera, inserted a good memory card that I use in the DJI drone, went to shoot on the first day - I was so happy, but when I got home, the camera stopped seeing the card, I was very upset - I had to format the card, lose all the footage, now I'm thinking if this happens again - to hand it back ... have you ever had this happen? what is the reason?
It will be the fault of the SD card not the camera. Mine works without issue, with a Sandisk extreme pro card

Stupid question why don’t you email to have an night mode added you know them get them to add it so we don’t have to do it every time auto night mode
I’d say it’s for the reasons I mentioned- every scene has different lighting and the auto mode can’t tell if you are personally happy with the amount of grain, exposure level etc. or if any lights are flickering.
@@BenClaremont it would be easy just have three modes
@@MyIronman8 that would still be a similar amount of work than what I did here. It literally takes 5 seconds to change settings when you’re actually shooting. The flickering lights is the biggest one and I don’t see how a preset would account for that.
It would be easy to auto adjust to not flicker. When you see flicker on your phone screen with your eyes… that’s data. The camera can also see that flicker / data if it is given the conditions that satisfy “is flickering”.
any other brands of action cameras? Basically, the only action cameras you see are gropro, dji, and ins
