What keeps you from accidentally losing the tip steering loop or if it comes off the magnet and having the tip line and loop handle flying back into never land or worse, it gets sucked into the prop?
In this video the tips still had a bungie that kept them attached to the riser. But I have since then went to full 2-d steering and got rid of the toggles.
Good to hear! :-) I'm interested in adding 2D to my Roadster 3. Any suggestions or any videos you can recommend? I'm most curious on the tip steering line length when it attaching to the brake handle? Thanks!
@@chrismriscin9161 it's fairly simple. It should be similar to my spyder. Just mark the tip line where it sits in relation to the brake toggle. Then just tie it into the toggle. "Without the eyelet mentioned in my video"
@@tventrca just go for it. 2-D is the only way. You'll end up not having as good of an experience by having them separated. No longer having to stow one to grab the other. It instantly becomes a natural form of flying if you just get over the fear of the unknown. As for the bungie I took it off before the next flight.
Yes I ended up directly attaching them to the brake toggles. If you watch any of my recent videos you can probably see the 2D steering is still attached. I'm sure I could play with the lynx a little bit and get more Authority out of either the brakes or the tips. But I'm extremely happy with 2D steering. You just have to remember when flaring to keep your arms out kind of like a bird flapping its wings.
@@MaxsAdventure. What was the downside of keeping it separate like you had it? Were you thinking that by just pulling it out of the ring there that would make 2D optional for when you wanted it?
Sorry...it doesn't make sense...if you attach the tips line to brake handle you pull the brakes always! No matter witch side. The 2D system with 1 handle is not working.they have to be separate
Good stuff brother! Thanks for sharing.

@@MaxsAdventure.how well did the bungee keep the tip steer in place? Thinking about doing optional tip steer

Definitely bowline
why not just attach them to the brake toggles?
Thats all fine and dandy but your not supposed to use your brakes when trimmed out full and on bar so its really a trade off.
Enjoying The Sun 577-Jersey Customs you can reach for the tip line and pull the line without pulling the toggle...
@@toledoflyboys8685 that's true yup.
The know tied at the factory in Vietnam is a Bowline.
Are the magnets strong enough to hold the Tip steering handles in place without the going through those loops?
They sure are. I left the bungie on there also just in case they didn't hold. But the magnets are very strong.
Any updates on your 2D steering? Did you ever attach directly to the brake toggle?

No need to apologize. 2-D steering works, plain and simple.
